Booked a week at the Mandalena (via Asda Travel online - £125 in total for the room for 7 nights) based on the positive reviews on here and we were not disappointed. We (couple aged 24 and 26) were looking for a very cheap late deal in October but still expected clean, safe and comfortable as a minimum, which this place could definitely be described as.
Can definitely recommend the higher rooms facing the sea. The views are nice across to the sea in the distance on one side and inland to the Paralimni Church on the hill the other direction. On the day we checked out we were given a ground floor studio, which although still fine just had a view of some broken old rusting furniture and a wall.
Would also recommend going for the 1-bed apartment rather than the studio if the prices are not too much more as you do get more space.
There was quite a nice swimming pool area which we ended up spending every day sitting around, rather than going to the beach - although there was a nice beach about a 15-20 minute walk away.
The main strip is within easy walking distance, which although out of season still had a decent number of bars and restaurants open (see reviews of Hippocampus and Red Indian Diner for 2 great places to eat, plus the review of the terrible Mexican buffet for one to avoid!).
All round excellent place for a cheap holiday if you can get a good flight deal too. Superb value for money at the price we paid.
