“Calm seniors hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

It was great journey. Hotel is calm and tidy. The view from 5-th floor was excellent, straight to the see! Hotel has nice mini beach. Food was good, every evening have the theme for it (Cypriot night, Italian, etc.).
The most part of hotel guests are senior people. All evening programmes ended at 11 p.m.
It's not the place to party, but its place to have good, calm holidays.
Tennis courts are from gravel, not good at all.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms have better view from higher floors

“Going back next year! :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2011

WOW, never thought I'd say that but yes I will be going back to this hotel and area next year - it was THAT good!

The hotel is a little out of the way - but this is what we wanted... it has it's own mini-beach, massive manicured gardens, pool and sports area. perfect.

now we are young couple 25 &26 so went into town alot - 1euro for a bus ride that takes 10-15min, 2 euro for a return and the bus is every 10min or so, running though out the night, from OUTSIDE THE HOTEL to the town centre and continues to ayia napa and the famous water park... perfect.

We actually went b&b as we like to eat out but the package to go all inclusive looked good so may do that next time. Buffet breakfast extensive while dinner was a little disappointing - Tex mex night in Cyprus??? Where was the beautiful Cyprus mezze?

room was very clean and well decorated. only the dated bathroom let the side down (although still clean and functional)

decent hotel gym, changing room (perfect for late check out), pool side toilets, bar, shower, cafe, scuba centre, volleyball area.... all in all this hotel had it all!

Room Tip: stayed in a 'partial sea view' room... tiny view of sea so would advise to just get a non-se...

“Relaxing holiday!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

Lovely hotel, spotless everywhere, WONDERFUL STAFF in all departments but especially waiters, waitresses and bar staff. Very attentive Restaurant Manager, made us feel like special guests especially at the evening meal when we were escorted to our table by the Restaurant Manager and a waiter/waitress, who pulled out a chair for me, unwrapped the linen serviette and placed it on my lap before wishing me "Enjoy your meal, my Lady"!
The rooms were lovely, though the beds are rather hard!! I asked the room maid for another bed quilt to be put under the bottom sheet, to soften the mattress and it was done immediately.
On my husband's birthday, a bottle of Champagne, two glasses and a platter of fruit was placed in our room. A wonderful gesture, which is apparently done for every guest who celebrates a birthday while staying at the hotel!! They get your date of birth from your passport details on the computer, which someone checks every day.
The food was excellent, though the menu was repeated each week, and for someone like me who doesn't eat any red meat( only chicken and fish) it was quite limited, but I never went hungry, in fact I put on 7lbs, which is very unusual for me!!(Honestly!)
Drinks were plentiful, even though there was a restricted Cocktail menu for All Inclusive guests e.g. Tequila Sunrise was not on the free drinks menu, though you could have one if you paid for it. White wine, Rose wine and Red wine were unrestricted, as I found out to the deteriment of my health!!
The bars closed at 11pm, and the hotel was very quiet after that time, which suited us "Baby Boomers" but would not be so good for "18 to 30" year olds.
My husband and I will definately return to Crystal Springs Beach Hotel!!

Room Tip: Book a sea view room, the views are worth it

“Very good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

Stayed on an A/I basis during October with family.

Room - Stayed in a family room on 3rd Floor with sea view. Room was big with 2 twin beds, and bunk beds for the kids. Room cleaned on a daily basis. Bathroom decent size with shower over bath. Small flatscreen TV, with no remote - have to pay a deposit for this apparently. Safe in room but again charge for this of 3 euro a day, plus a deposit of 10 euro. There is a fridge in room which was locked, again charge for this don't know how much

Food - Breakfast buffet style from 7am - 10am. Full english, along with continental options of cheese/meats. Good selection croissants, pan au chocolate, etc. Tea/coffee self service from a couple of machines in the corner. Omlettes cooked while you wait, along with waffles. Pool side bar serves snacks from 10.30 - 12.30, 14.45 - 17.30. Drinks on A/I available from 10.00 - 23.00 each day. Good selection of beers Keo, Leon, Calsberg, Amstel. List of around 15 cocktails to choose from. Spirits on A/I were not branded.

Overall - Very good hotel with a hardworking team who are always happy to help. 2 shops close by, and 1 sports bar which had all the football on, 10 minute walk down the road. Bus stop at end of drive into Protaras, which costs 2 euro return, kids were free. Does run all the way to Ayia Napa and the waterpark. Runs every 15 mins during the day. Beach small and partly shingle, but nice and secluded.

Stayed at Capo Bay last year which was far superior, but Crystal Springs good value for money.

“Recent visit in Oct”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

After reading really good reviews I have to say I was really dissapointed. On arrival my bed only had a sheet and I had to ask for a blanket. The room was quite cramped and the bed uncomfortable. Stayed on a half board basis and the food was pretty good but did not cater well for vegeterians. The reception staff I found quite unfriendly and although the restaurant staff were excellent - there was never really enough capacity and mostly you had to wait for a table inside. The main problem was the location was really far out from Protaras, I had hired a car so it did not matter too much to me but something to consider. I wouldn't stay there again or recommend to friends, though for what I paid it was OK.
