we stayed in October 2012, for one week. This is our 3rd visit to Protoras, which we think is a great little place (still do) The hotel staff were friendly on arrival, with a complimentary drink of juice on arrival. A nice first touch. The rooms were very clean and a very decent size; also very quiet as well. The beds were enormous and the most comfortable that I have ever slept on; I slept like a baby every single night. In fact, I still miss it and am hoping to replicate it somehow!!
The fridge and the safe had to be paid for, as usual, this does annoy me quite a bit! The mere fact that the hotel require YOU to pay for a SAFE so you can keep your documents safe in THEIR hotel, which YOU have paid for! (see..i told you it annoyed me!) safe:E13 per week and fridge E2 per day...we did without the fridge...the noise gets on hubby's nerves anyway...he he...
The food was pretty much standard fare for an all inclusive hotel (although we we half board). It was hot enough and plenty of variety (love love love the Cypriot potatoes!) There was entertainment on at night for the youngsters which they seemed to enjoy and usual bingo, quizzes etc for the oldies!
The pool was a fair size and there are plenty of beds but i think you would have to be up early to get one around the pool ( we were happy to rest on the beds on the grassed area, maybe a bit old and could do with replacing but were ok)
A BIG plus for us was that the hotel has a Costa Coffee as part of the complex...very busy and just the same as here in good old blighty! think we bless most of our budget on coffee alone...but it was worth it! To sum up...we liked this hotel, loved the beds, the quiet room and the cleanliness...good job Odessa!
