After our tour of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia followed by some hectic sightseeing in Bangkok we came down here to chill out before returning to the UK. It was fantastic. From our waterfront Garden Apartment, the friendly efficient smiling staff, great food, treatments in the Six Senses Spa, gorgeous pools, beautiful gardens, walks - it had it all. It would have been impossible not to relax and enjoy this luxurious paradise, south of Hua Hin. We simply loved it. Do eat at the little restaurants nearby the resort. The food is great, chilled soft drinks and very welcoming staff and at a fraction of the resort costs.
We hired a motor cycle for a days exploration along the coast - there was kite surfing, some small sandy beaches, many fish and squid being frame dried and nice wee villages and bar/coffee shops. I would recommend a morning or afternoon elephant trekking, skip the show. Take at least one day to explore Hua Hin town for the Railway station, interesting wee shops and cafe bars, super restaurants - the night market here is a must do. I bought my silk suits at the Tailor's just beside the resort (On the right as you head towards the sea - great quality, great price and wonderful service). Others bought theirs in Hua Hin. Di it early and take them home with you or do it late, but with time for a fitting and adjustments and get them shipped. I did the latter they arrived just as expected in two weeks.
Tip - don't expect long sandy beaches on this part of the Gulf of Thailand.

Dear l H,
Thank you for your glowing review from your recent stay at Evason Hua Hin. I'm glad that you had a great time relaxing after your grand tour through Asia. Good to see that you ventured out to explore the local surroundings. I think we are in a truly unique part of Thailand where there is so much local life of local villages which has not been tainted by the brush of mass tourism. It's a real pleasure to go and explore the local fishing villlages, deserted beaches and rural countryside.
Great pictures too! Please feel free to upload them onto our Facebook page for others to enjoy!
Until the next time!
Regards,
Jamie Crisp
