We decided to stay overnight in Bangkok after a long journey from London before travelling onto Koh Jum and Koh Lanta and again after leaving Krabi before returning to London.
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is right by the airport but noise isn't an issue. The rooms are spacious and the beds are really comfortable. Spacious, modern, clean and light rooms. Choice of restaurants in the atrium and a nice bar area.
On our first stay we had a room overlooking the internal courtyard garden and on the second stay one overlooking the pool area. Basically, the hotel is very large and built in two blocks around either the pool or the garden. Both blocks adjoin the central atrium area.
.
Hotel runs a regular shuttle service from exit 4 in the arrivals hall at the airport. Very slick, quick service on the shuttle and at check in/out. Pool area is a reasonable size but water was quite cold but still a welcome oasis after a long trip. It did seem a bit understaffed and people had left towels on empty beds which were not removed, so it was difficult to know if they were free or not.
The hotel has a spa but this information was not included on the website. Had I known, I would have booked a treatment on arrival so maybe Novotel are missing a trick here?
Only (minor) gripe is that we had to pay for internet access which other travellers have also commented on and which is unusual in Thailand.
For an overnight stay, I would definitely stay here again.
