If you pay out of your own pocket go anywhere else. If it's work or someone else paying and you want location then this place is for you. for 1/7 the price there are airport hotels within 5 minutes drive, but this is a walk front he terminal.

For a great relax there's a nice sized pool with in-pool seating at the bar in one wing and in the other wing there's a Thai garden nice to sit and read in if you like humid heat! The rooms are large by Asian standards, nice shower with usual Novotel amenities.

Less airport noise than I would have expected.

FABULOUS new idea they have - checkin anytime you like and checkout 24 hours later - not the usual 2pm in and midday out - LOVE THIS aspect.

I ate buffet dinner with my mother who was in transit. They offer free flowing wines 3 reds & 3 whites for 1200 Baht or without wine (buffet only ) 899 Baht which was great value considering the cost of wines in Thailand. The food was great and plentiful (much better than I normally expect at a hotel), the deserts were delicious - must try the macaroons. I had the lunch buffet too at 599 Baht and again had great food & sweets.

Another thing I like about this hotel - unlike everywhere else in Thailand - all prices are inclusive. Most places have a small print about ++ for service charge & taxes which are usually 17% all up, whereas here they show you the total of what you pay which is great.

If you have time, for less money you can stay in some of BKK's best hotels downtown, but if you need to be at the airport or don't care about the budget this place is great.

Booked a night here between our arrival and departure for Koh Samui.
Unless you've got walking difficulties our particularly heavy luggage, don't bother with the shuttle and walk the ten minutes underground past the train to the city.

We booked a double room with baby cot and were told only twin room was available.
This particularly irritates me, since it would likely be unacceptable to stick two colleagues in a double bed, so why is it seen as reasonable for a married couple to be dumped in a twin room - happens all too often.

Anyway, more irritating than that was the fact that the first room we were sent to was neither clean, nor equipped with a cot. It's not a huge deal to go back to reception and get another room, but it was late and we were with a baby.

So in total three mistakes were made from our booking and I find that rather poor - it's not as if it is a particularly cheap hotel.

Otherwise all was fine. Good location, nice rooms (when clean) and the breakfast was fine.

Less than a five minute drive (you can walk, but I wouldn't advise it) from the terminal, this is about as handy as it gets, yet once we were inside the hotel we weren't aware of any airplane noise at all. The place is modern and well kept up. Rooms are fairly large by Asian standards and the bathrooms are very nice. There are a variety of restaurants in the lobby (Thai, Chinese, Western, and buffet, that I recall). The staff was friendly and competent.
