I was looking for a getaway, removed from the usual hustle and bustle of my life. The website looked as if El Retono was made to order, but still when I arrived, I was ill prepared for the beauty that surrounded me. I came for four days but could have stayed for a month. The accommodations were charming. The owner, Debbie Mounts was a delight , could not have been more helpful and gave me great tips re: exploring the area. The waterfalls are a no miss! While there I treated myself to two great massages, and if I had been any more relaxed when I left, they would have had to pour me onto the plane. I will return to this lush paradise again and hopefully again.
