Had a great time staying with Mike who runs the hotel. The food was excellent with lobster, steak and ice cream regularly on the menu. This was a fly fishing trip and Mike was able to arrange some of the best guides in Punta Allen with two grand slams in one week and many shots at Permit. The rooms are comfortable and very clean and the service is always with a smile. We will be back.

I have known Mike since he was the owner of Sol Caribe. I drove down to PA
from past the bridge to say hi but just as importantly to get a good meal. I'd been eating
mostly fish and wanted one of Mike's famous burgers. But don't get me wrong while
we were eating a local fishermen brought in some fresh caught Pargo (big snapper!)
for the restaurant. although I haven't stayed at Casa (yet) I;ve seen the rooms and
know the level of service and the fact that Mike has been down there over 15 years
so he can connect you with anything you should want to do.

In June we were in Punta Allen looking for a destination to send our clients that love to fly fish. Mike, who is the owner of Casa de Ascension is a great cook and very entertaining. The hotel was very colorful, cozy and clean. The bathroom had hot water and was spotless. The upstairs area has a romantic setting.

Casa de Ascension is clean, comfortable and has a friendly atmosphere. It is a small little town and so is central to everything. Be sure to contact the owner, Mike, before coming as he has information on many options for traveling in either by car or boat. When I come back I think I will try the boat option. While you are there they have information and will help you to set up tours and fishing exhibitions. They also have great food and drinks at their restaurant. A computer is available for your use to stay in touch with home or do research on your next stop. Mike, the owner, is very helpful and kind and made our stay wonderful.
