The hotel is quite a long walk to the metro , 20 to 25 minutes so not ideal. The area is clean and modern but not too much to do in the evening.

The sofabed in the room was only a two seater size which is just to small to sit on.
This hotel is clearly aimed at one person attending the nearby exhibition centre rather than a couple or a small family. Hotel has a very smart design at reception level and includes a reasonable small swimming pool.
A couple of minor points for the hotel to consider , supply proper cups rather than paper cups and in future don't sacrifice room size in order to provide a 'flash' large bathroom.

Overall I would NOT recommend this hotel for anyone planning to visit Bilbao for a weekend break. Its OK but the walk to the metro back and forth is just too long.

Bilbao itself is an enjoyable Spanish city. It also has beaches to go which was a pleasant surprise, we went to Algorta. Although the beaches are reached on a different metro line from where this hotel is located.

Overall a very good place to stay but the overnight parking charge was a bit expensive on top of the cost of the room. The Novotel in Bordeaux Lac does not charge for parking so that worked out at better value for me but the Bilbao Hotel is better overall.

Great hotel apart from not having enough bed space for a family of four in a family room as there was one bed and one very small bed settee that was not big enough for two. The shower flooded the bathroom as the seal on the shower screen had broken. This was actually quite dangerous as the floor was very slippy. However great bar area and fantastic breakfast. We got a good deal and having stayed at an Etap the following night which was dreadful but more expensive, overall we were pleased.
