“Must visit this fantastic Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

We have now visited the Pella Beach for the last 5 years and have already booked for next years holiday at this lovely Hotel, and we're not alone by a long chalk!!
You are greeted at reception by the lovely Sandy and her staff, all of which are different nationalities, and every one speaks wonderful English or whatever language you speak.
The highlight of this holiday is the wonderful Restaurant and wonderful food. You will not be disappointed as there is something for every taste and every evening is different. You can have chips every night if you like that sort of thing, but with so much choice you'd be mad to miss all the other delights available.
We were really happy this year with the brilliant service of waiter Tomas. He was simply marvellous and deserves to be taken on again as he just made our holiday with his wit and sense of humour.
Sandy on Reception, who is Guest Relations Manager is simply the best there is.You will not find a more genuine and helpful lady anywhere in the Hotel business!
The pool and beach is just great and there is a bar on hand for those light snacks and drinks if you need them.
The only drawback this year was we felt the bedrooms needed a spruce up,but they are alway's clean and respectful, and clean towels every day with some wine and fruit on arrival in the rooms.
Thank you Pella Beach, see you in 2012. The Cardy's and Wellsteed's.

Room Tip: Turn left out of the lift!!

“What a great start to the holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

I loved this hotel. The staff were lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We travelled with two elderly people one of which needed a room closer to the lift and Sandy, the manager, pulled out all the stops for us and she was moved within half an hour.
The pool is the cleanest pool I have ever seen. Food was great and the drinks were very generous! Entertainment was fun too, even in the daytime there was something you could join in. The location was really good for the village. Only two small things wrong - the matresses weren't the most comfortable and there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms but apart from that A+++++.

We will definitely be back but without the elderly person!!!

Room Tip: Try and get a room closer to the front for a good sea view.

“great value for money”

I do'not want to focus on the negative things mentioned in the reviews. Yes there might be need for renovation in the rooms, but the quality of the service in the rooms and in the hotel in general was very high. We enjoyed a lot the area by the kid's pool, under the olive trees or the palm trees, great as my 7 year old boy could go in and out in the pool and I could easily watch him, while my little one 15 months old enjoyed walking in the grass and playing alone with his toys and I was relaxed. You could easily go to the beach and have a swim, great sea, warm water, great form both my kids. Food was excellent, quality of service form the waiters in the restaurants and the taverna as well. Animation was there for anybody who wanted and had time for some extra activities - volleyball especially attracting many people.
Another great aspect and one of the reasons why I choose this hotel was the proximity to the village center - we enjoyed it as we could walk down there with the baby strolley, no need for car or taxi or public transport. The village was very nice and charming as well. All in all great family holiday!

“Ignore the Negatives, the Positives far out-weigh them !!!”

Well where do I start, yes I had read the reviews about the rooms needing an update and so on and yes perhaps they do, but they are clean and tidy, the shower works perfectly well as does the air conditioning. There is a fridge in the rooms (complimentary bottle of wine and water, plus fruit basket), a free safety deposit box and adequate storage. So who cares if the carpet is ill fitting not me. The remainder of the hotel is excellent, the staff and amenities are second to none. The pool and garden area is perfect with a fabulously sized pool plus small pool for the kiddies. And yes, the beach area is small and perhaps cramped, but hey, its exactly 12 paces from the side of the pool to the water edge, so what's the problem. The sea is crystal clear and easy to swim in. The restaurant is buffet and although we only went half board it was just 19 Euros to upgrade to all inclusive if we wanted, but as we usually leave the hotel after dinner to enjoy a drink in the local bars, it really wasn't worth it for us. You can buy lunch at the hotel anyway for a few Euros. The drinks at at the hotel are quite expensive to buy but not as expensive as outside the hotel which is unusual. Exactly 10 minutes from the hotel is the lovely centre of Hanioti, with a bustling square with bars, shops and restaurants to explore. Be aware there is no public transport. For the whole 14 nights we were there we never saw one bus although we were assured they do run - GMT (Greek Maybe Time) and the taxis are very expensive. All in akkwe had a fabulous time, and for someone who travels abroad probably 3 times a year, I can honestly say the food is as good as any I have tasted anywhere in the world and I challenge anyone to say they "couldn't easy a thing" as the menu catered for all cultures/dietary needs. Give it a go and ignore the negatives, there's nothing there to cause an issue, believe me.

“Very good family Hotel with friendly staff and great food, shame about the location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

Grecotels are normally a safe bet, especially the family all inclusive options. We decided to try the Pella Beach and were happy we did in the end altough at first sight it looked like we'd walked in the middle of a nightmare.
Apparently the main building in this Hotel dates back to 1998, reason why many people complain about the decor. We booked one of the family rooms, built in 2004, and were initially given a room looking over a very popular path. Next morning we complained at the reception because we had no privacy whatsoever, and most importantly there were no sheer curtains at the windows but only thick blue velvet curtains, which meant if we didn't want people to see us we'd have to put the lights on even with daylight. Our reservation manager, Eleni Garivaldi was so kind to give us another room, a maisonette on the second floor, and that's where our holiday really started.
I will however put first the bad points of this Hotel.
Do hire a car, because the Pella is in chaotic Hanioti, the beach is crowded beyond belief on the two sides of the hotel's part, and even the hotel bit itself is very narrow, packed with sunshades and sometimes dirty with plastic straws and cigarette stubs. The water is crystal clear with small pebbles and easy access for young children.
Every day we drove to some of the nearby beautiful beaches, Golden beach, past Pefkohori, Glaravakos, and Xenia, and were, sometimes, by ourself.
Do explore the other side of the peninsula as well as it is very pretty, especially Possidi.
The restaurant, although with terribly low ceilings and neon lights, has a really good choice of greek and international food, the menu changes every night and the salads and the fresh vegetable starters are to die for.
The staff in the Pella is the main reason why regular customers keep booking this place, they are sincerely friendly and will try to please you always.
While we were there my youngest son turned four. Not only there was a surprise birthday song for him at the kids' mini disco, but the Hotel Manager, Sandy Pitsouli had provided a lovely chocolate cake for him to share with all the other children. The Hotel has a very good entertainment team for those who decide not to go for a walk after dinner.
We were particularly impressed by the constant attention to the environment on some issues. The Hotel has a strict recycling policy and they grow their own organic garden.
