“Nice and pleasant family holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2011

This is our second staying in Dolphin Beach Hotel. This time was even better. The reception, lobby area, café bar and a restaurant are completely renovated. We’ve hurt that the rest of the hotel will be renovated for the next season. We were in family room. Those rooms are specious with big balconies, and peaty old furniture though, but not broken. Rooms were clean every day, and towels and sheets were changed every third day, or even more on your request. Different from last year is that the kitchen part is disconnected, or removed, except the fridge. But anything more is necessary because we really enjoy the food from the restaurant. It was so variety and delicious. The staff is more than friendly and on service 24h a day. The garden and the pool are nice and clean, but the pool is a bit small and not shined all day. It was really pleasant to stay and have a rest in Dolphin Beach. We have to pay internet and that is a minus. Next thing that makes this hotel a good choice is that is on the beach and on a 1,5km there is another bigger called Aegopelagitika. If there is a wind in Posidi, on Aegopelagitika is quite. The village of Posidi is small and quite. It has one pizzeria, few taverns and three café bars. Dolphin Beach Hotel and Posidi are places for quite and relaxing vacation especially for families with young children.

Room Tip: Family rooms are specious, well cleaned. The furniture is old but in a good condition. All rooms are...

“Top value for Money Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

The specific hotel is a top value for money, epsecially due to it's ultra inclusive programm, which included everything. The hotel have some old furniture, some new furniture will suit better to the hotel. The management is doing their best to please the tenants of the hotel - they are always there to observe if everything is ok, and twice a week some live music events are being organized. Good food, polite and hepful personel.

“Dolphin Beach - not the place to go”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2010

I've just returned from Dolphin Beach in Possidi.
The hotel was worst than i expected after reading the other reviews here.( before going ).
We were 7 people and we had 2 double rooms and one triple.
In the triple room the third bed was some kind of 2 chairs mixed together to make a very small (broken also ) bed, imposible to sleep in.
It's true, the air conditioner isn't working in any room. I went to the reception and they said" What can we do ?".
The rooms are very ugly and the bathrooms are very small, dirty and old. ( i will come back with pictures i haven't copied them from my camera yet ).
The breakfast was always the same ( eggs, cheese, ham, gem, a very poor orange juice ), but eatable. The dinner was eatable only 2 of the 7 days we stayed there, and very very poor. Also, they didn't offer drinks at dinner, you had to pay 2.5 euro / normal water and 3 euro / mineral water. That is just stealing !!!
We had NO ELECTRICITY for 24 hours, i went to the reception in the first hour, they told me they will fix it in 30 minutes. I want again after 3 hours and the gril there said " What can i do ? " ( again ).
The swimming pool is very small ( but clean ). The hotel hasn't got any parking and you have to pay 3 euro / hour for Internet.

The beach in Possidi is terrible, very small, full of rocks and sea urchins.
We went by car and everyday we went to a different place. You can find very nice beaches around. ( 20 -30 km away from Posidi ) like Siviri Beach, Sani Beach etc. We went on 2 boat trips, also very nice.

As a conclusion, do NOT go to this hotel.

“I should have taken for good what bogdan81 from Camplung said!!”

I read bogdan's review before going to Possidi and said to myself it can't be that bad....but it was.
The pool is smaller than it seems and the schedule is two hours in the morning and two in the evening.
The breakfast was always the same(two kinds of omlette and sausages),but dinner was better.
The maid cleaned only the bathroom floor and there is no beach there ...you can't call that a beach, there are only rocks no sand , rocks in the water as well.We had to go by car to find a beach, there is no place to take a walk, in 5 minutes you can see all of the resort.
I must say that is not a three stars hotel at all!!!

“Great creative atmosphere, if you don't mind petty larceny”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2009

Last year at the end of June I authored a book in this hotel that became a best seller in my country. Thus I considered the place - my LUCKY SPOT.
Great view on the sea, relaxing freshness of big pine-trees behind the hotel, spacious rooms, small but very clean pool.
Besides the food was excellent (BD included), especially if you search for a place where you can trust the chief and forget about daily menus. Multiple choice of tasty food in 2008 and 2009.

This year the air conditioner was O.K, but TV was out of order, (this was especially good for me to concentrate on my work). Staff in hotel and restaurant - courteous.

Rooms cleaned everyday - exactly at the time of rest 13-15h. Russian speaking chambermaid - unkind and even hostile. You have but two choices: either to be present during the room-service among impolite staff, or to put up with missing money. This year 50 Euro were stolen from my purse. The manager said he could not find out which of the 6 chambermaids was pickpocketing. I suppose in high season of July he could not find other solution except to apologise.

Many children hilariously were enjoying their vacations around the pool. So if you have kids or love kids – this is the place for you.

Apart from room service you can heave great holidays in this place. Maybe they will hire better staff. If not, either you accept that for the price of the hotel you cannot expect anything better or look for another place.
