Chesa Salis is a small hotel in the charming town of Bever, about 5 miles from St Moritz. Because it is away from all the action of the big town, it has the ambiance of a quiet retreat. Mr and Mrs deGiaccomi and their assistant, Christine, are very welcoming, professional, and friendly. They strive to make one's stay pleasant. The hotel is a historic building. It has some very special and charming rooms. Old and charming can often be a bit less comfortable than modern. The floors were creaky, the beds a little saggy, and the bathroom cramped. The plumbing was fine, with plenty of hot water. The views from our window were extraordinarily beautiful. Breakfast(included in the room price) was good; but dinner was below average. Overall I would still return to the Chesa Salis because of its charm, friendly staff, and tranquil location.
