crack of paint in the room and POOR service are not 4 star hotel standards. we did not taste the food, as we always eat out. generally very nice building, very nice rooms (except ours, but we asked for it, as it is a quiet one), clean and tidy, with nice view. The pool is big and clean, but there are things to ruin the nice picture (surrounding, bad smell from around etc).
NOT 4 stars!
BUT the price is not a 4 star price too! it is a very good value for money hotel.
Hello,
we stayed in Marmari, Evia Hotel & suites before 10days. The hotel is impressive and make you feel you are not in Marmari -as Marmari is a small village with ,until now, not nice hotels. We had 2 double rooms with sea view. They were very very nice. The rooms were excellent with 4star hotel facilities and clean. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. As for the service we are satisfied as even though the cafe was full we had our coffees with only 10minutes delay.
We enjoyed every moment of our stay and for sure we are going to stay there again.

it was the horst vacation in my life. the breakfast very poore and dangerous for our life. the noise very hard . dont go there it is a nightmare with 4 stars.
We came to the hotel for a short getaway from the kids etc. We had a wonderful time and the hotel and rooms by themselves are impressive. Unfortunately what the hotel gains in appearance it loses in service. The reception desk was constantly unmanned meaning that we had to wander around the hotel looking for someone to help us. The rooms were clean but on the first morning only the bins were emptied and nothing more, even the dirty glasses were not changed. The first evening we decided to try the buffet at 15 euro a person. The food was not fresh and had no way of being kept warm. It tasted like everything was processed and fried, very bland and tasteless and to be honest not much cheaper than the fresh, healthy, tasty meals prepared at the nearby tavern. Breakfast was served from 8-10, although we mistakenly thought it was 7(we are early risers!) and went down and helped ourselves as all the food was already out. It was an average breakfast , but again too much ready, processed food and the following day that we went down later it again didn't taste fresh. Another dissapointment was that the pool was only open till 9pm and on a hot summers night a dip would have been very refreshing. The pool was fantastic and the service at the bar there was very good. Our biggest complaint though was that on the last day we had to run around trying to find an atm to take out money to pay as although the internet site for the hotel states that they accept credit cards, they told us they don't have the machine and only accept cash. It's a shame that a hotel as pretty as this one doesn't have better service.
