We originally booked through onthebeach, but to a different resort, Son Parc, but at the last minute we were changed to here for "operational reasons"
When we arrived our beating hearts were stilled.
Platges de Fornells as the resort is correctly know as is a very small resort with this and another hotel. The rest of the resort seems to be holiday homes and apartaments.
There are two supermarkets and two restaurants not in hotels.
The beach is about a 5-15 min walk depending on your pace, I'd suggest you use the 15 min version:)
The hotel/aparthotel is a complex of two storey apartments, with a patio on the lower and a balcony opn the upper, the rooms are clean and basically but adequately equipped and furnished.
The pool area is nice and simple and neat, the lifeguard when we were there, Diego is also the first aider and he's fabulous with kids and everybody really.
The restaurant and bar area is along one side of the pool, with both indoor and outdoor seating for eating.
The food is simple but decently cooked, and you can pretty much find something to keep you satisfied every night. We're a bunch of foodies, but we accepted that this wasn't a foodie hotel and once you accept that life is much simpler.
I would happily return here and so I think would my kids who loved the pool and the beach although a tad inconvenient over a boardwalk over the cliffs is level and flat for a long way out, so reassuring for parents and great for a splash, swim or a snorkel.
There's noweher to get money in the resort but for a 5 min, 1 Euro busride your in Fornells, which has two banks and numerous great fish eateries.
I may possibly be back
