I really wonder if some of the recent reviewers actually stayed at the same hotel as us. It is most definitely an old fashioned French provincial hotel with all that that usually means eg, dark decor and tiny bathrooms but it was comfortable, neat and spotlessly clean. Yes, the flush on the toilet was loud but this is because it has a macerator fitted which is quite sensible. The owner could not have been more helpful, letting us put our trailer into his locked back yard overnight for security and then keeping an eye on it in the street the next day whilst we visited the museum (for which he gave us money off vouchers.) Otherwise there is ample, private parking across the road. The evening meal was delicious and good value and the breakfast generous and fresh. The service was quick and friendly. Albert is a great place to stay when visiting the Somme and we would definitely stay there again.
