Lock on toilot door was knackerd,shower was scummy and the toilet is an eletric pump flush like on an aeroplane so its very loud!! However the food and service are great and so is the view if the town hall! Would stay hear again.

Booked this hotel as we wanted to stay close to the Somme battlefields, and also to the centre of Albert. It was a terrible mistake. Reception was a srcuffily dressed chap who gave me the key and a 26 long code to access WiFi. We went up a gloomy dirty stairway to our room.The room was dirty, cobwebs on the ceiling, clean sheets on the bed but dirty blankets. The bathroom was filthy, and you were not allowed to flush toilet paper down the loo. The shower only comes up to my chest, and I am only 5'9"! The restaraunt is recommended on the web, but the dirtiness of the hotel and our romm convicned us it would be foolish to eat there. The hotel also says it has reserved parking, it does not, you take a chance that you wil be able to park on the road outside. Breakfast was awful. Albert itself has little to recommend it, although the museum is excellent. All in all, if you want to stay in Albert try the Basilique, we ate there and the food was very good, but don't stay ay the Hotel de la Paix, I know it is 2 star, so yu can't expect much,but surely basic cleanliness can be expected?

A comfortable old style family hotel. The owner and staff were friendly and spoke enough English for us to understand them. Good location and the restaurant on the premises served lovely food, including a continental breakfast.

We only stayed for one night. There was no problem to bring our labrador to the restaurant, where we had dinner and breakfast. The rooms are a bit dated, bur fair for the price. The same goes for the restaurant. The food is quite alright, but no gourmet experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Parking in a safe private yard was an extra bonus. Free internet access.
