This is one of my favorite places in Scotland. Good room, excellent breakfast and a very warm welcome. They have fresh baked bread every morning. A treat. Plenty to see in this neighborhood.

My wife and I really enjoyed our one night stay in this quiet and friendly guest house. The room, food, location and hospitality were second to none. We were sorry we could not stay longer. Steve and Diane were the perfect hosts. We have not received such great hospitality before. We highly recommend the Argyle Guest House, Tomintoul.

You could not have better hosts than Diane and Steve, very accomodating, chatty and friendly, superb food and a very comfortable stay - made me feel at home. Tomintoul is the perfect village to get away from it all but with so many activies nearby - cycling,
ski-ing, horseriding, walking etc

We stayed two wonderful days in Argyle Guest House in Tomintoul (District of Moray, Scotland). The atmosphere is kindly and familiar. Dianne and Steve are great hosts who support you in all of your activities. The breakfast is delicious, especially the self-made soda bread from David is awesome, and the vegetarian variant of the "Eggs Benedick" tastes great. The guest house is located in the center of Tomintoul with only a five minute walk to the local pub. There is a whiskey shop directly in the neighborhood which, by the way, holds the current Guiness Book record for the biggest whiskey bottle.
