“Off the beaten track.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2008

The Le Parc is an excellent location for a budget stayover. Except for the construction in the annex across the way (part of the takeover by the larger hotel next door) it was quiet.
The La Garaudiere restaurant was wonderful. The night it was closed the hotel staff sent us to a homestay place who did a set menu dinner with excellent wine choices.
Would stay there again.

“Good hotel for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2008

The hotel is within easy distance from the centre of Beaune, and is set in the countryside, next to the Hostellerie du Levernois. It was about 5 minutes drive from the centre of Beaune and all of it's attractions. The rooms were average, but clean and comfortable and all ensuite. It was quite refreshing to be out of the city centre, and in the quiet tranquillity of the countryside, but I guess if you're looking for somewhere a little bit closer to the action, it could be a downside. We got there in the evening and the lady on reception was able to make a great recommendation for a restaurant in the city, which she kindly phoned ahead and booked for us. I would recommend brushing up on your French however if you're going to be out and about in Burgundy, because a lot of people's English isn't great.

“Charming B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2008

Stayed one night on 4th August - had same room as mollymoo40. Le Parc is now owned by the Relais & Chateau next door, and it has taken over one wing of the B&B. Excellent value but probably wouldn't stay more than 2 nights. Small bar and lounge area in Reception. Chatted to Stephanie, the Receptionist who doubles as the bar lady, and found her absolutely charming and witty. A bonus that she speaks excellent English! Being a Monday the Restaurant in the village (not the Relais!) was closed and she recommended Restaurants in Beaune. However, we found the Auberge deBouzaize and decided to try there - mistake! You must eat at 7.30pm, and the 'Madam' really doesn't enjoy her job, and it shows! The four courses were all over and done with in under an hour, and that was asking for a break! We did enjoy our night at Le Parc, but avoid Mondays if you want to eat reasonably in the village.

  • Liked — Simple, clean B & B which offers good value
  • Disliked — No Restaurants nearby on Mondays

“Very pretty and romantic b&B”

Very sweet B&B, arrived in beautiful sunshine that did the place justice. Ate dinner out in the Place in Beaune. Beds a bit hard but room good for the price. Was very happy with our overnight experience.

“This place is wonderful !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2006

We decided to spend two nights in Beaune and use it as a base to explore the wine region surrounding it.

The Michelin Green Guide for Burgundy described this place as "simply charming". Boy, they "hit the nail on the head".

It is obvious that the people that own this hotel are not trying to chintz out. It is clean, well-conditioned, and has very expensive Grohe shower fixtures. The staff and owners are all good speakers of English, and are incredibly pleasant and accomodating.

At 52 Euros for two people, it also a bargain.

We also had dinner at a fine restaurant within walking distance, La Garaudiere.

Right next door is an incredible four star Hotel with restaurant, but with a menu at 98 Euros we decided to dine elsewhere.

If you take this recommendation, you will be very happy.

Just a comment about rudeness, since a previous poster mentioned it. I certainly experienced nothing but excellent treatment at this hotel, and for that matter throughout our two-week travels in France.

Certainly there are rude people in France, just like America, but I seem to find that people who have bad experiences in other countries, and make no mistake, I am talking about my fellow Americans, bring it on themselves.

Bon voyage !!
