“Never been to a place where there were so many return visitors, the staff are all friendly and eager to please, we will return t”

Beach best we have ever seen and we have travelled to many destinations over the last 10 years. Hotel small and friendly staff made us feel welcome, accomodation is basic but clean and comfortable. Food was also good and with plenty of choice. Very good hands on manager who is eager to get your view on your stay, and keen to make any changes to make your stay comfortable. Tipping did seem to be expected, which will add to costs to an all inclusive stay, but if you consider local rates of pay and appreciate good service, we did not find this off putting. Not a 5 star but a very good 3 star +. 8/10 of the guests are return visitors, which says it all for me. We had a lovely restful holiday and look forward to returning.

what can you say about the beach? fabulous! hope to return next year

My husband and I love Sol Cayo Guillermo so much we have just returned from our 5th visit. We love the place so much, two of our friends came with us this year and they were delighted with the place. I cannot recommend this hotel and location highly enough, it has everything I could want. It has clear blue sea, pure white sands, latin dancing, swimming pool, lots of choice in food and drinks, fantastic weather even in Jan/Feb, all this and more. More memorable than everything else is the staff, they are truly wonderful and they work hard to make your holiday extra special. It is great to see familiar faces when we return each year. Everyone from the gardeners and cleaning staff right up to the manager make it their number 1 priority to make sure everyone is happy and well cared for during their stay.

The only problem I have is, 2 weeks never seems long enough!

Don't hessitate to book here you will not be disappointed. We are already looking forward to next year.

Room Tip: downstairs rooms are better suited for people with health or mobility problems

“fab holiday”

i booked this holiday for my 40th birthday, my daughter's 17th birthday and our 20th wedding anniversary, I've never been this far on a holiday before, nor had we ever gone all inclusive before, but we need not to have worried. We had a fab holiday, they took care of my daughter and my birthday, which was on the same day with 2 bottles of champagne and a reservation at the a la carte restuarant and the same for our anniversary a week later, the food in the buffet restaurant was lovely, my daughter and I are both fussy eaters but there was always something there, and the desserts were beautiful.
We stayed in room 915, and you could see the beach and sea from our patio, the room was cleaned every day by our maid, who also gave us a wonderful surprise every day with different animals made out of our towels, blankets etc, and to the gardener who supplied her with different shaped flowers to decorate with.
The sea was so warm and clear. We went on an overnight trip to Trindad and swimming with the dolphins, this was brilliant, well recommended. If I could I'd go back to Cuba tomorrow, we loved it there, all the staff work hard from the waiters, waitress, maids, gardeners, reps, Iwan the thomas cook rep and Jimmy our guide on the coach

Just returned home from a brilliant two weeks, staying at the sol. We have stayed at the sol on numerous occassions and I have to say the place gets better each time we visit.
I cannot find fault with the hotel and it's staff......Manuel, along with a brilliant team, has worked hard to make positive changes within the hotel.
Room very clean, towels and sheets changes regularly.
Food excellent with plenty of choices and chefs more than willing to meet the needs of individuals........thankyou leo and alex for the poached eggs, noticed its now a regular on the breakfast buffet.
Manuel is very proactive in meeting the needs of his guests and ensuring minor niggles are dealt with quickly and efficiently. Our aircon unit was not working properly and after having it checked out twice, the unit was replaced with a new one in a matter of hours. He also met with guests on a one to one basis to ascertain our views, suggestions and recommendations to improve our stay........apart from the cubanito bar closing at 11, we had no complaints whatsover.
Beach beautiful as always.
Staff brilliant......Carlos, Carlos Cruz, Joni, Yaimi, Nelson, Roberto, Elizabeth, Yamila to name but a few.
All in all, a brilliant holiday spent at a brilliant hotel.
Well done to Manuel and all the staff who have made the hotel a great place to stay.
Looking forward to hopefully returning in September.
