Just returned from our Holiday of fourteen nights at Coconut Ct.the room was very nice overlooking the beachane the view was lovely,Ju-anne who cleaned our room was lovelyand made sure we were happy with clean towels and bedding when needed,Antonio at the beach bar was great as was the other waitress and waiters the only thing we could find wrong was the breakfast as we did get a little fed up with the same cereals toast bananas apples but on our last day boiled eggs were on that was a nice change hope to see you all again soon.

“1st Visit to Barbados & Coconut Court Beach Hotel”

Nice, affordable, friendly & clean hotel right on a beautiful palm-lined beach with a great beach bar (Antonio's wonderful personality.& mixology). Stayed three nights before sailing on The Royal Clipper. Very helpful staff. The restaurant sits open to the beach, very tropical, and the food was good. Friends recommended this hotel, and we were not disappointed. I would return to this property again.

“A Pleasant Surprise in Every Way”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

This hotel was a big surprise in a great way. We had booked a discount holiday from Toronto in November 2011 and were not expecting a whole lot as long as we had a beach & sunshine.
The exterior is not very striking, as the building is older and the best side faces the beach. But once we got in the lobby and met the staff, we were charmed. They were so friendly and helpful. A gentleman showed us to our room - and we were in love. The room was spotlessly clean and large. We had 2 double beds, a table and chairs, and a kitchenette area along one wall that included a full fridge, a toaster, a microwave, dishes and cutlery. Our balcony (3 floors up) opened directly onto the ocean...what a view!
The next morning when we went for our breakfast (included in the rate), we were really pleasantly surprised by the restaurant's beach front location and good continental breakfast.
There was juice, fruit, toast, cereal, and croissants. For an extra charge of $5.00 US you could order custom cooked eggs. Many people had mentioned the bird problem, but after all, this was an open air restaurant, so a little wildlife is to be expected. We just had to use a little common sense and not leave the food alone at the table or the birds would move in.
The next surprise is the beautiful big beach. The hotel is spread out, so the beach is quite long. There were ample palm trees to get shade and a good supply of beach chairs. The beach bar is quite funky and you can also get food right down at your beach chair from the bartender. There is a small reef right off the beach were you could snorkel and see a fairly good assortment of fish. We spent most of our time on the beach relaxing and just loved it!!! There were no venders bugging us, just peaceful relaxation time!! We were there for a week, and 3 nights of that time there was entertainment at the pool patio area which had everyone up dancing.
I see that some of the reviewers have not been so happy with the coconut Court, but I think that you have to go in with realistic expectations. This is an older family-run hotel with a fabulous beach and great staff. It is not the Hilton, nor is it a 5 star hotel, and that is reflected in the price!! You don't get 5 star quality at 3 star prices. In closing, I would say that it was a well run 3 star hotel with a great beach....you decided if that's what you're looking for.

“Very poor breakfast”

Have just returned from the Coconut Court and found it all very acceptable except the breakfast. For me only cereal and toast is not acceptable as a continental breakfast. Fresh fruit was available, but only bananas and apples and occasionally oranges. Surely some protein should have been provided by way of eggs, sliced cheese or ham? Yoghurts would also have been much appreciated. We resorted to buying our own and takling them in. Yes you could eat off the menu and pay more, which we did one day , however that defeats the object when you are on a budget.

Other than that the hotel rooms were kept clean the beach was lovely and it was good to see their strong environmental ethics.

Happy hour twice a day was great and Antonio the Bar tender was exceptional in his customer service.

I would use this hotel again if they slightly upgrade their " Continental" Breakfast.

“5th visit, happy 5 times”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

this hotel provides a nice room, excellent staff, excellent beach, soso breakfast
Antonio at the beachbar and Ted of Ted's Tours are the best ambassadors for Barbados.
If you want all inclusive, pay much more and search, but if you want a place that fits you pocketbook and want friendly staff and owners, this is the place.
We were disappointed that when we booked room they were full, but got call back letting us know they found room for us. It was better than we rxpected other than twin beds but everything else ok Breakfast needs improvment-like old days-mixed fruit, cheese, maybe occassional eggs, decaff coffee.
Thanks Jason and Linda, I feel like you are close friends and look forward to coming back. Tell Ted I want to share more jokes and become a Bajan!!!!!

Room Tip: rooms away from blue room across street are quieter
