First off, when you drive up to the hotel it's a bit scary. It is located next to a rehab clinic, and a run down building. There were missing letters off the building itself... Parking gets scarce, especially at night... and the parking is under a TON of trees so watch out for bugs! Check in was easy, although the room was not clean when we checked in, and we checked in two hours past their recomended check-in time... The rooms were clean, but left much to be desired... be sure to bring your own soap, shampoo, and drinks! Hotel does not provide them. There is no mini bar like advertised by the hotel. It does however have a resturaunt. We checked the breakfast out, and it was in no way worth the 10 Euro being charged for it. They can get away with charging that price because there is practically NOTHING within 30k of the hotel as far as food is concerned. We had a GPS that found resturaunts for us, thank goodness! Without it we would have NEVER found anywhere to eat! It was really close to the tropical islands which is usually where you're going if you're looking at this hotel. The posters in the hotel indicate you can buy tickets for the tropical island, you can't. They have a bowling alley with two lanes you can rent for 10 euro an hour. We didn't see it, but it sounded like a pretty good deal. The beds were soft, and the pillows and blankets were sooooo comfy!! Sleeping was nice! Although, the curtains let ALL the light in so we all woke up a few times a night. It was still comfy though!! The tv had maybe five German channels. We really did not watch TV though. They had one window/door that opened, to let air it, although, there was no screen... so all those bugs I mentioned earlier... come into your room. There is no other sourse of cooling in the room, so you can sweat to death, or snuggle up in that comfy bed with a mosquito. I chose the mosquito. :-]

Upon checking out, came the drama of the entire trip. For my fellow Americans/service members planning on staying at this hotel on your vacation with family & friends...be ready to fight to use that VAT form. We were there for over an hour trying to explain the VAT form to them. They tried to charge us for two rooms, and some breakfast's that we did not eat. Then they tried to tell us we had to pay the tax then file to get it back at the end of the year. They kept arguing something they did not understand. They even threatened to call the Polizei on us! It was crazy! Then they wanted to talk mean about us in German as if we couldn't understand. They ended up listening, and completed the VAT form when my husband offered to call the Polizei himself. This left a sour taste in our mouths about this hotel.

Other then all the drama the last day. It was an okay hotel. Cheap. Close to the tropical islands, and Berlin. We had an awesome time.
