“Great, friendly resort made all the better by the staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

We travelled as a family in October 2011. Our children have special dietry requirements so we contacted the hotel/complex in advance of travelling. Michelle was very helpful and even arranged to have some soya milk in the fridge in our appartment ready for our arrival. Donna was extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming to all of us. The complex is a short walk from the main resort and up a hill - not a problem for us, but might be for the less mobile. We had a two bedroom appartment which was enormous - really two appartments (two storeys). It was so big that our younger child insisted on sleeping downstairs, whilst our older had the upper floor to himself. The pool area was very clean, but really quite cold in October. The food was simple but good. Maria (I think) was also very helpful and we were able to bring/use our own margarine and discuss the food requirements. It was a real pleasure to be able to enjoy a breakfast poolside as a family - something we cannot normally do. The complex was very quiet, but is was out of season and we were the last people to leave before the whole place shut for the end of season.

Pefkos as a resort is quite small and many parts of it were closing in October, but nice and suited our needs for a short beak. There is a small beach near the hotel (about 5 mins walk) but was covered with lots of washed up bits off wood and the like (There had been storms in the weeks before which washed many things out to sea and then back onto the beaches.) Pefkos main beach was much nicer. There was a good mix of restaurants at the resort, including several family cafes with play areas.

Lindos is very very nice and we revisited this several times. The acropolis is worth a visit, but a steep climb. The beach is very good. It is clean and the fish swim around your feet whilst paddling. There are some basic watersports such as peddlos and kayaks. Its is great for snorkeling.

The bus trip to Rhodes town was quite an experience. Even out of season it was very hot and bumpy. Another good day trip all the same.

A great holiday and we were lucky with the weather too. With hindsight I am not sure if would travel in October again as things are just starting to close, getting a little colder and you can take your chances with the weather.

I woudl like to thank everyone at the Pefkos Village Resort for making our stay very special. We have many fond memories of our time with you.

Room Tip: The two bedroom appartments are enormous.

“Great holiday”

My wife and I and our 2 adult 'kids' had an amazing week at the Pefkos Village in Sept 2011. the staff were great, especially Barry and Michelle on reception and Donna and Antonis in the bar.
Donna just works her socks off and can't do enough for you. She's a real gem.
The food was really good, nice poolside snacks and great evening meals too.
our appartment had 1 separate double bedroom and a further 2 singles in the kitchen/diner. Plenty of room for the 4 of us. It was very clean and the kitchen was equipped with what looked like fairly new cupboards and plenty of worksurface space (= happy wife!)

A short walk (5 minutes?) to the coast and there's a lovley strip of beach. We did manage to walk all the way along the beach into Pefkos but it was so hot, even at 9 in the morning that we couldn't have attempted that any later in the day, at least until after dark.

Turn right and head inland toward Pefkos. the walk takes about 20 minutes. First taverna you pass is the Nikolas. Always full and well worth waiting for a table. It is 5 minutes from the appartments and very good food indeed. Carry on passed the Nikolas and walk further into the main resort, as i said, about 20 minutes, maybe less - probably more on the way back! - and there is plenty of choice of bars and tavernas. Lots of the usual shops, some with their own bakery and surely enough for everyone's needs. Having said that, THe Pefkos Village Resort has its own little mini market which was great for essentials and saved us having carry heavy items back from the resort.

Nearby, Lindos old town is well worth a vissit and make sure to walk (or take a donkey ride) up the hill as the ruins and views are awesome. Car taxi from the apartments to lindos centre was €8-10 each way.

These appartments are a little out of the way, off the beaten track so if you are looking for somewhere livley and in the centre with all the clubs and bars right on your doorstep this may not be the place for you. But we all loved it and hope to go back again very soon.

Any negatives? - just a couple of annoying posers who put their towels on their favourite sunbeds at 8:00 every morning even when the place wasn't full. And, we had to leave! we'd have loved to have stayed longer. :-)

Room Tip: some rooms will be over the bar/restaurant area. if noise at night bothers you (although in Septembe...

Stayed end of September/start of October 2011. Lovely peaceful place to stay, very helpful friendly staff and good pool area. Tavernas nearby, more in the resort but far enough from the resort to be a bit quieter. A good base from which to visit Lindos and Rhodes Town. Nice relaxing holiday.

bit late with my review but we stayed 1st 2 weeks of september as my sister was getting married in lindos we arrived late afternoon and were greeted by michelle who was very welcoming id seen previous reviews about the staff and there all spot on donna works non stop but always has time for a happy chat we stayed in room 215 as i request top floor pool or sea view well we got all 3 i ve never stayed in a bigger cleaner place on all our trips accross greece as some people have said the price for aircon is steep we would have to rent 2 units even though we just wanted it in the bedroom.. so we just kept the doors open 24/7 still very muggy at night but we all go away for the sun n warmth.. pefkos village is about 15mins walk u certinly work up an appetite up them hills i would recomend this hotel to freinds n family ( who incedently stayed at the island blu 5 star resort ) and apart from a pool bar i would rather stay at the pefkos village

“A perfect place to unwind..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011 via mobile

What a lovely place. Just out of the main village about 20 mins walk bit of a hill on the way out but nothing to taxing even for a very unfit me!.it was the last week of the season so last of places shut but that was not much of a problem for us still plenty of tavernas open and not crowded do that was a plus:-). The accomadation is very clean spacious and obviosly well locked after by the owners . Great snacks round the pool and the evening meals we had there were excellent ( best moussaka we've ever had in Greece ) all the staff are really great and Donna is a bit bonkers in a good way:-) . Will I be back ? You bet especially if we get a room upgrade again:-) .
P.S the little Kavos beach down the road about 5 mins walk is lovely
