“No Complaints!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

Staff rightfully so prides themselves on service. Great view, decor dated mediteranian but overall no complaints. Private beach for those with families this would be a terrific choice. We were there a bit off season which suited our needs just fine. Castle in town restored is worth a visit and we managed to time a medival market in the old town.

Room Tip: Anything facing the sea is a sure winner.

“We loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 July 2011

The hotel is a bit older; but very clean and well maintained.
We had a sea view room on the corner and the views were endless! This was a perfect room location (#201).
The staff did not speak much english; but using our smart phone to translate and a little patience it all worked out.
The staff did everything to make our stay wonderfull.
The hotel has a main dining room with an extensive menu.
The breakfest prices were very high compared to what you received.
There is a patio bar and resturant that opens at 10:30 and is the best.
The beautiful Irish woman who runs it is the best and the food was outstanding with great selections of appitizers, sandwiches, salads and desserts.
It is perfect if you are laying on the beach and want a snack or a full meal.
They have ice cream along with several iced drinks and coffees.
You can't go wrong eating on the patio...stop and ask for "Sam" she is very helpful and can give you hints of some hidden gems to see in the area.
The hotel is located at the end of a boardwalk/walk way that you can follow along into the heart of the town for shopping, dining, or just a nice stroll. Along the way are resturants and even cabana bars on the sand.
There is a little tour train that you can take around to several stops and to the castle. Seeing the castle is a must! You can see the castle on the hill from most rooms at the hotel.
The hotel pool was also nice along with the beach area.
There is a local train you can take to Valencia for the day and is worth it.
We actually extended our days at the hotel instead of going to Barcelona.

Room Tip: Ask for a seaview room.

“A little dated.... but perfect location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2010

The hotel is a small 1960s/70s block situated right on the beach at Cullera. Being an older hotel, it could probably do with a major facelift.. However, our new air conditioning unit and flatscreen TV worked perfectly and although the rooms were very basic, the staff kept them clean. It is strongly recommended that you pay the supplement for a sea view.
The reception staff do speak some English, though they are a little older than average and therefore sometimes appear reluctant to use it. However, they were always helpful. The buffet breakfast was adequate. The location makes up for any shortcomings and Cullera is a lovely, peaceful Spanish resort

“Worse every year”

I've been many times to this hotel, but I don't know what happened to the charming and elegance it had once, some time ago. The hotel is beautifully located, and I spent many lovely nights having dinner by the sea. But that finished this year: the friendly musicians don't play anymore, and dinners in the terrace have been cancelled. What's the matter? Is it money? We paid. Is it people? Pay more. Is it management? Hire someone else, it's not so difficult to run a hotel.

The hotel will also thank you any investment in reforms, marketing and staff satisfaction. A business is not only a money making machine, to keep it alive you have to take care of all relationships: customer-staff, management-staff, B2B, etc. That's marketing.
