It was a beautiful place, with a pool, and two very nice restaurants. But the second night we were there we had made reservations to the gastronomic restaurant and they gave our table to someone else, and then they took like an hour to bring out our food, so that was very annoying, besides that the place was nice.

This hotel has the potential to be a charming and welcoming retreat. However, the following points make our experience in this establishment very disappointing.
- Dated rooms and decoration
- Reception is not worthy of a hotel of this category
- Elevators not working
- Lackluster service at breakfast (needed to wait half an hour to have some coffee at our breakfast table / buffet is not replenished at all during peak hours)
- In the absence of space in the hotel restaurant, the staff were unable to recommend an appropriate establishment outside the hotel.

Very nice hotel, very friendly staff especially at the front desk

This is a nice hotel in a fabulous, peaceful location. It is in the trees next to the river in Ostwald just to the south of Strasbourg and not far from the airport.
Rooms are a nice size with a traditional classic style, very quiet, with an excellent bathroom and a balcony looking out to the trees. We were next to the pool but I couldn't smell any chlorine unlike previous reviewers. French and German TV but only CNN for English speakers.
The grounds are are well kept and great for walks or cycles and trams are a 5-10 minute walk away but most come by car - plenty of parking inside the grounds.
The food is very good, but I'm not sure it quite justifies the prices, I'd rather have it cheaper with less pretentious presentation personally. Good service generally though.
