Loved this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool was comfortable and not crowded. Loved having screens on the upstairs windows so we could keep them open at nite and not use air con. Good location . Could have easily walked to the beach at grand acne but drove to the further entrance to get a little more privacy and shade.
Loved the cat cactus and the other cat too. Good standard Guadeloupe breakfast but also has chocolate croissant and regular croissants.

We stayed here last week and wished we could stay longer. We stayed in the villa Kanouan and it really is wonderful place at the top of the (small) complex. The villa is perfect for 3 couples and 2 kids (bunk beds). It has tons of space is is very private.The kitchen is outdoors and well equipped and spacious. We gazed at the stars every night on the massive deck.
The jungle is out the back door.
There is a private hot tub for the villa but it is not hot or even warm. However our daughter enjoyed splashing in it at the end of every day. I think the best thing about the hotel is the staff. We were greated by Emilie when we arrived and she took care of us for the week. All the staff went above and behind to help us when we had trouble finding a place to stay for our second week( they were booked solid) and also to get us a last minute rental car. We really can't say enough about them all.
There are 3 fabulous beaches nearby including Grande Anse.
I won't repeat what others have said but it is really a very quiet, relaxing place to stay. We will be back next year. The people in Guadeloupe are very friendly even to an Anglo with limited (lousy!) French. If you try to speak even a little French, it goes a long way.

We have just returned from a stay in Caraib Bay Hotel - very nice holidays. The staff is helpful and friendly, there is a beautiful pool area & garden, the location next to Grande Anse beach is great. Nice bar with good cocktails. We stayed in a duplex bungalow with our 3year old and our baby. Well decorated, clean (housecleaning everyday), cosy, but do not expect palace luxury. Aircon upstairs, fan downstairs. Bathroom: shower, no bath; they kindly lent us a baby bath. Little kitchenette with hot plates, fridge, sink. Handy for basic cooking for dinners when you travel with young children and do not want to go out in the evening. We used to have lunch in one of the beach restaurants, very close, but to stay in for dinners (cooking for the kids, and for us either cooking either creole take away in front of the hotel). We did not have a car but would definitely recommend one, for the excursions and also for food shopping (Deshaies is 10 min drive away) if you plan to stay in and cook.
Negative points: absence of welcome coktail on arrival / poor breakfast buffet (to drink: coffee, tea, 2 fruit juices - to eat: only local jam preserves, 1 sort of ham, 1 sort of cheese, industrial bread, some pineapple & melon slices, and 3 sorts of cereals + milk- exactly same stuff every day). No baby sitting service.
We enjoyed very much our stay at Caraib Bay. We recommend this place!

This was my second trip to Deshaies and the Caraib'Bay hotel. I really love this place! It's relatively small, it has a beautiful garden and pool, the bungalows are charming and most importantly the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The bungalows are clean and well kept. The focus is on eco-tourism - the breakfast menu is simple but good. The hotel's location near Grande Anse - one of the most gorgeous beaches in Guadeloupe is a big plus! There are lots of great restaurants near by in Deshaies. In short - my family complete with 2 teenagers had a great stay here and we look forward to returning in the future!!
