We were sold this holiday as a couples and families package by Thomas Cook which could not be further from the truth, When we landed at Kos Airport and met by the rep, he warned us all about the hotel and that if we had any trouble to let him know, This was not a great way to start our holiday, We arrived at the hotel and first impressions were good, very modern and clean reception area, Checked in and got to our room (2.30am in morning).
The hotel was like a 18/30 club groups of guys and girls coming in at all hours banging doors, shouting in corridors from 3.00am until 7.00am off the 14 nights we stayed here 9 nights were sleepless, We did ring down to reception on numerous occassions and have the security guard knock on doors to tell people to be quite, The Hotel do not help this situation by giving out only one key per room which means that if 3 guys are in a room and the one with the key is back first and falls asleep the others when they land back bang and bang and bang the door trying to get in, also when these guys arrive back from the pubs at 4.00am if the security guard escorted them to rooms it would save a lot of trouble, We felt we needed another holiday when we got home as so many nights without sleep.
Breakfast was just ok, not worth the money, better to go down into the town and get your breakfast, unfortunately we were on a bed and breakfast basis, hot food is put out early and sits in trays all morning, eggs were the worse I have seen on any holiday the only day that gas burners were put below the hot food was a day when the owners of the hotel were there, cold foods were ok.
The cleaning lady on our level (2) was brilliant she kept our room spotless, Towels changed every day except Sundays and sheets changed often.
Barman who is on in the evening is one of the most bad mannered bar men I have ever come across, unless you were in a group of young girls you would be ignored and on a Saturday night they have a Ladies buy one drink get one free, what they dont tell you is its a particular drink and when my wife had bought 2 drinks and was charged the full price she said to him about it, he sneered at her and said yoiu did not think you were getting that free, My wife complained to the duty manager about him and was told that lots of complaints had been made about him (why dont they sort it). We never spent another euro in the bar after that during the remainder of our stay.
Reception staff during the day were very helpful.
Do not buy any of the trips/nights out from Thomas Cook as you can get the same trips in Kos town much cheaper, We did the 3 Island boat trip at a cost of 20 euros ec Thomas Cook costs were 44 euros ec and its the same boat Its a fantasic trip and we would advise any to do it, another trip we done was the Greek night, Thomas Cook 42 euros in the town 32 euros a great night of traditional greek music, food and dancing and as much wine as you could drink.
Kos Town itself is a beautiful town and lots of good places to eat and have a drink, our favourite pub was shenanigans the Irish bar just 5 mins walk from the hotel thanks to all the guys for making our stay enjoyable especially Bradley the DJ, Nick and the rest of the team, many a night we got a few free shots.
We would go back top Kos as the Island is beautiful but not to the Saint Constantin
