“Oldy-Worldy - perfect wedding venue”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

If you are after a hotel with character then this is the place for you. The hotel itself could be hard to find but just follow the signs for Dunadry town and you'll manage to get there. It's really in the middle of nowhere but the facilities in the hotel are good enough to compensate for that. I did notice a bar which does food just down the road although we didn't frequent it.

The hotel has an oldy-worldy feel about it with huge wooden doors and low beams. The rooms were nice, maybe could do with a bit of modernisation but you wouldn't want it too modern or it would take away from the character of the place. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room and the usual toiletries left in the bathroom. If you get a room on the ground floor the patio doors open out onto a large patio. Might be noisy in the summer though if people are sitting outside drinking.

We ate in the Bistro which is set up like a restaurant. We opted out of the restaurant due to the prices. The food was amazing. I would highly recommend you eat there. Prices and menu is available on their website. We also had drinks in their bar which was very quiet for a weekend. The bar cloased about midnight but we were able to ask at reception and they provided us with more drinks. We stayed there until about 2am and there didn't seem to be any hurry to move us on.

This would be a lovely hotel for a wedding. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and the feel of the place would be a lovely setting. The grounds also are good for photos.

All in all a very pleasenat stay.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms open onto patio. In good weather this might be a bit noisy with people drinking j...

“Fantastic Hotel”

Myself and partner recently stayed in the Dunadry for two nights and had a fantastic time. The room was massive, and the bathroom was a great size too. The bar and eating area was lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. Could not fault anything about this hotel. Looking forward to our next stay.

“A fantastic,warm & friendly hotel!”

I stayed here last week,as friends of mine were getting married.I found the room to be spacious yet cosy, the bar and public areas welcoming and the staff to be most accommodating. The wedding was beautifully staged, and the reception room was stunning! Attention to detail was excellent, and service exemplary. It was my first visit to Belfast, and my only regret was that I didn't have longer to spend at the hotel...We decamped en masse on the Friday morning to another area of Belfast for a Scrabble tournament, ran by our wedding hosts!Personally,I received a lovely welcome at this hotel- one that bemused my friends and still makes me smile!- and I hope to return again shortly,if I am invited!
Thankyou for a lovely stay.

“Friendly familiar faces”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Just spent another fabulous weekend at the Dunadry Hotel! It just went too quickly! Lovely to be greeted and remembered by many familiar friendly faces among the staff. I organised a 2 day course at the hotel, and as always, all our needs were met, and more! Nothing was too much trouble. The events manager Julie is extremely helpful and accommodating, very patient with any last minute questions and changes.
We dined in the Bistro lunch and dinner - great atmosphere, especially in the evening.
Then we had the tasty traditional carvery on the Sunday. The vegetarians in the group were very impressed with their choice.
There was entertainment (Abba tribute) in the ballroom which was a pleasant surprise, though I equally enjoy sitting in good company with a drink by the fire.
Rooms very comfortable and spacious.
Unfortunately I didn't fit in a trip to the health club on this visit, but I know that fellow guests really enjoyed the experience.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
Looking forward to my next stay already!
