We visited here in May, and found it a really wonderful experience. The food was wonderful, the owner very friendly and helpful, and all very clean. Everything was perfect for our romantic break, we could not fault this hotel in any way. We would most certainly visit Himalaya House again, and recommend it!

We stayed in Himalaya house for 2 nights..The location is abit far from town.We stayed in the cottage and our room overlloked the river just beneath..There is a very beautiful garden opposite the rooms.The views of the mountain is amazing.We went up the mountains with Shaban.He took us on a memorable horse tour of the valley and mountains.The food was ok.Its a simple menu and made fresh with reasonable prices..the staff were okay..We were given hot water bottles at night which were of great help,as it was quite cold..The place is popular with backpackers..Pahalgam people are generally the friendliest in Kashmir..

I came to Pahalgam for 4 days to relax and enjoy some fresh air and experience the peace and beauty of Kashmeer. And for sure I experienced that in Pahalgam and staying in Himalaya house was a wonderfull place and starting point. The rooms are lovely and a lovely garden with the nice sound of the running lake in the backyard to enjoy the meals. The personnal are very lovely, helpfull and it has a homely atmosphere. They have a good guide to take you on tours, or help to arrange trips for you.

I had 4 lovely days and can highly recommand this place for relaxing and taking some few hiking trips or starting point for longer hiking trips.

we only stayed 1 night here, nothing to complain at all.
we were only guests during our stay, so it's rather too quiet.
we initially booked cottage 1 but decide to stay in cottage 2.

the weather is not too cold by the time we were there, but we were offered hot water bottle anyway, which stays warm through the night :)
from the house, we walk to nearby village and get a chat with locals and get to see their way of life up close. which we really enjoy.
it would be so great if we can get to the river from the house, but cannot do so as there is a fence.

for the rate and services they provide, i'll stay here again if i have a chance to come back.
