Pralognan is in the heart of the Vanoise National Parc in the mountainous Savoie area near mont Blanc. The town is squeezed in the valley, one of the most beautiful of the Alps. The people at the Grand Bec hotel make the stay a great pleasure, this is true hospitality - making sure the guests are comfortable. We stayed in one of the small rooms, which however is bigger than in most 2* hotels. Lovely balcony looking straight at the mountains. For the half-pension we payed just 52 Euros p.p.p.n. The typical French stule menu - entrée, main course, cheese, desert was kind of fix, but if you want something else they'll try and accomodate. For breakfast you can have almost anything you would want. The facilities are simple but quite adequate, there is a great terrace and a heated swimming pool. It is a 2* hotel, but could pass as 3* star.
