“Just perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

We've very much enjoyed our stay at the Inn at Working Horse Winery. The hospitality of Sara and Tilman is wonderful, they really made us feel at ease and welcome.

The Vintners View -room has (of course) a spectacular view and is very spacious. We can recommend the tour, the vineyard is something special, especially in our world of hurry-up businessess. The tasting is very nice, as the wines are exquisite and the icewine is terrific, as are all the wines.

The breakfasts and the tapas diner (optional) are as great as the stay is, and made our stay the best one of our trip through Canada. The delicious dishes made us taste and enjoy food and combinations we didn't know we liked so much! The diner was just for us and we enjoyed the sunset and even a pair of huge owls flew by. Thousands of stars and the moon made the night even better. As the Inn is close to town, but very peacefull and quiet, you'll enjoy the comforts and peace at the same time.

We've actually brought a red and a white wine with us back home, thanks to the beautiful and handy package it survived the long journey. We've just opened the white (rare breed) and it is as delicious as it tasted back in Peachland. Brings back wonderful memories

Room Tip: Vintners View is beautiful!

“wonderful stay on a beautiful vineyard”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2011

We loved our stay at Working Horse and will definitely return if we ever make it back to the Okanagan Valley. The inn is located on a working organic vineyard with gorgeous views of Okanagan Lake.

This is a very small bed and breakfast, with room for only two couples. We stayed in the Vintner's View room with a lovely view of the vineyards and the lake. Our room was very comfortable, spacious, and quiet. There were also chairs set up outside, perfectly situated to take in the sights and sounds of the valley after we were done with the day's activities.

Each morning we were treated to a delicious breakfast featuring the region's fresh fruit and eggs from the farm's hens--a perfect way to start off a day of wine tasting in Summerland or the Naramata Bench.

We loved learning about how Tilman and Sara take care of the land, the story behind the winery (one of the oldest--if not the oldest--in the valley), and of course, their approach to wine. They truly care about the health of the soil and the vines and it is reflected in their products. We tasted their ice wine and white wine and both were fabulous.

This would be a great stop for couples looking for a wine country stay, particularly if you are interested in learning more about winemaking and would love a unique experience.'

We hope to make it back!

“Second visit was as wonderful as the first”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

Perched up on the hillside overlooking the lake, this Inn makes you feel as though you are completely in the wilderness, but it is only moments from restaurants and wineries.

It is a smaller place, you have a lot of privacy and it is very quiet.

Very comfortable beds, great breakfast and wonderful hosts. This is the second time we spent a weekend here and we will be back

“The perfect getaway, exceeded our expectations!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2010

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Working Horse with another couple who are our friends. There are only 2 rooms so it was very private and relaxing. It is in a beautiful setting high on a hill overlooking vineyards and the lake with great views from both rooms. We also had access to a private lounge which was great for relaxing, chatting and sipping wine at the end of the day. On our last night we enjoyed the Wine Maker's dinner and took a tour of the winery and farm and met the working horses. The food and wine was fantastic and we enjoyed talking with our gracious hosts. The breakfasts were ample and delicious and the Inn is well situated for touring the Okanagan. We highly recommend the Inn at Working Horse Winery and plan on visiting again.

“A unique experience for the Okanagan winery B&Bs.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010

Beautiful views of Lake Okanagan in a very quiet area high above the town area. Comfortable suites with a dedicated room for entertaining. The tour of the winery/farm was excellent. We learned a lot about sustainability, organic farming and wine making. The winemakers dinner was a highlight given the quality of the chef and the knowledge of the winemaker Tilman. A very different experience from the normal winery B&Bs in the Okanagan. We enjoyed our two-day stay. Breakfasts were very tasty and the service always good.
