I stayed here for a weekend on a groupon deal and must say all my expectations were exceeded. The hotel is comfortable and staff are friendly very professional. The rooms are beautiful and bed fantastic. The food in the restaurant is up on my top 5 favourite meals. Leaving the best for last, the spa area was perfect. The pool itself I found cool so only ventured in once, but the hammam, rest room and spa pools were luxurious and just what parents of 4 young children needed to relax. I will definately return in the near future.

Everything about the hotel is perfect apart from food and drink being very expensive.

We had a brief stay at this fine hotel and spa. One could not ask for a better location or a finer quality of service and environment. Food was way above average and the dining room and lounge very comfortable. If I want to be very niggly indeed, I would suggest they might look at their coffee blends and brewing facilities, as it doesn't quite match the quality of everything else.

However, what for me essentially defines the standard of any establishment is the way staff interact with customers. We found the staff at Fota Island Hotel to be friendly, relaxed, efficient, professional, and attentive. Staff does not get to be that way by accident, and they certainly are not that way when they are unhappy. This is a well trained, well motivated, and happy staff, and it shows.
