“Great room and Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2011

The hotel is located at a prime location that is 1 minutes to Wynn, MGM and a few steps more to Lisboa. Just stayed in Executive Room on the day before, executive floor are located at high floor from 30/F, providing with better toiletries and inclsuive of breakfast (I think free upgrade will not get breakfast). We've got a nice habour view room, can see MGM, Sands Casino at a distance across. The room is nicely decorated in modern style, LCD TV, DVD player, Work desk, Lounge chair, matresses support me well for a goodight sleep. Spacious Bathroom with both shower and tub, with a glass wall where you can see TV from the tub while to roll the blinds down if you feel shy. With Eletric water pot and free teas, coffee and drinking water. Comes with free Wifi but I didn't bring my laptop on a 1 night trip. Hotel staff are very nice and courteous.

Down side? Their Chinese restaurant are just average, heavy MSG used. Cafe at 1/F of casino are terrible, taste worst then any chain fast food restaurant. But i know the japanese are a great one that we did not try. And we've been dine at Wynn on our second day, their Chinese, dim sum, Italian and cafe at Casino all taste great, cost 20% more but taste way better than 20%.

Their Casinos are relatively small, without much varity of games, so we went to MGM and Wynn for gambling.

Another thing the hotel really needs to improve is their shuttle service. They did not provide a seperate stop of shuttle for hotel guest like Wynn, you will need to compete with all the gamblers, they ignore the order of line up and rush in to get up at the same time. So we just pull our luggage for a few steps to ride the Wynn shuttle.

“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2011

We stayed in Macau for 2 nights before we went to Hong Kong, When we got there we were so glad that we booked star world as it was right next to the Wynn with the water show out front and MGM grand...it was walking distance (15-20 minutes) to St Pauls Cathedral and Senado Square and a short taxi from Cotai Strip. We were choosing between the Venetian and Star world and were happy that we booked the main land as Cotai strip is still developing and isolated.
We also received an upgrade as they had booked in 2 double beds rather than a king so we accepted that very easily and the rooms were very clean and furnished well. The staff were friendly but there was no information available regarding tours (other than the ferry that goes to hong kong!). Communication was a little tricky but the staff did try hard to please. Overall, good value for money!

“Nothing Beats Star World Service in Macau”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2011

Just when we entered the hotel until the next night we left we had the best of service from just guiding us to the elevator, showing us around and basically everywhere we went in the hotel the smile and the ever presence to guide you was immense.

the room was spectacular and very clean. I stayed at the New Lisboa and that was really a bad experience. Star World is really worth staying in and now with the New Galaxy Resort coming up they are more gung ho in giving the best service possible.

I was more shocked that they saw it was my birthday and sent a cake to my room as most hotels look at your documents but don't see your birthdate. this made it more special. Thank you Star World

“Excellent value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2010 via mobile

Very clean, comfortable rooms, convenient location for the value. One of the newer hotels on the strip with all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. Wish I could have stayed longer. Only issue was the taxes not included on my itinerary which was a result of my booking agent. Still fairly priced deal.
