To say 90% of this hotel's business comes from tourist groups would be an understatement. We were there for 2 nights as a stopover between Singapore and HK. The lobby would always be jam packed with large groups of people ranging from Koreans to Mainlanders(China).

The customer service at front desk wasn't so posh. Could do with some improvement in the English department. Had a nice gentlemen helping us with our general enquiries on how to get around Macau and how to go to HK at the concierge desk. There's free shuttle bus at the front entrance that drops you off at the pier to HK or China every 20-30min. The trip itself was only 5-10min.

The rooms were fairly run down, carpet was dirty, bathroom smelt mouldy, and bed sheets were stained on the side. Size of room and bathroom was decent. We could always hear alot of foot traffic coming in and out of their rooms outside or ours. It's as if the tourist groups were all gathering outside in the corridor before marching downstairs to the lobby. Very annoying in the morning when you are trying to sleep.

The hotel itself is on a narrow but busy street with afew cafes around, though looking at their menu you'd think you are in mainland China not Macau. City center is about 1km away. Roads are jam packed with people and getting a taxi can take some effort.

We stay here for 2 nights after Mongkok and Hongkong trip, it is a very big upset in term of Hotel service, staff attitude, room is old and out dated, and the worst is the noise from bathroom if the light is switching on.
The location is consider good with walking distance to a few famous Casino, Starworld, Wynn and Grand Lisboa. Free shuttle bus by Hotel can only bring you to ferry terminal, but you can travel around by using other casino's shuttle bus from ferry terminal to their destination.
Breakfast at $54 is not expensive but nothing much variety, should have tried the eating stalls nearby out side the Hotel.

IMPORTANT NOTICE. We have traveled for sightseeing but not for gambling so please consider it while reading the review.

LOCATION. The location is very good just about 10-15 minutes walk to the most impressive square of the city with the Lisboa hotel and casino and other central points. Also they have a ferry pier transfer.

STAFF. We have booked a DBL room but when checking in a guys at the reception desk offered us a junior suite for 1 night without any extra pay! So how can I say anything bad about the staff after that? :) Seriously the staff at the reception and concierge desks and in the restaurant are quite friendly and helpful (probably only in the restaurant you should ask waiters to pay attention to you).

ROOMS. Comfortable and clean room, soft bed with a lot of pillows, nice view from upper floors. I should say we 100% enjoyed.

BREAKFAST. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel. There was a wide variety of food and everything was really delicious. The only one problem is air-conditioning in the restaurant. It was really cold there.

GENERAL IMPRESSION. I did really like the hotel and I cannot say anything bad about it that happens not very often. At the same time I understand that receiving a junior suite room affected a lot on my impression.

If you prefer to close to city centre, it should be the right one at moderate price. However, there wont be any surprise and hotel was kept busy for Mainland tourists (from tour group).

Better to check room once checking-in as it could be smoky for non-smoking floor. Hence, prepared to ask for another room if you need non-smoking room.

Dont expect anything more apart from standard rooms but overall service seems ok. Front desk staff was helpful.
