Just came back from this beautiful hotel. This resort is a very relaxing place. Rooms are fine. Good beds, very clean and facilities to make you own coffee or tea. The food is very good. Tasty ,good quality and enough variety. Restaurant area has enough space to eat outside. A lot very big swimmingpools. The one at the beach is amazing with a very beautiful view. Staff is friendly and helpful. With special thanks to Vasilis and Eriko( restaurant) Akis( bar) and the hotel manager Aris. They all tried to make this place feel like home. Can't wait to go back.

“BEST PLACE OF RELAX”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2011

Just return from 12 days of relax from Iberostar Odysseus.I had doubts about my decision because of some bad reviews that I've read. When I arrived at the airport of Kos,the taxi-driver who drives me straight to the resort told me that I choose properly. The resort is about 5 Km from the town of Kos.Is a beachfront resort and located in the middle of farms with cows.I arrived earlier than the check-in time, but the receptionist man check-in in a short time as I took my coffee which unfortunately didn't offer me but I pay for it.The room that I've booked was a standard with garden view.I asked to upgrade but unfortunately the deny me beacause the resort was full. But they gave me a twin room in the second floor of the building around the main pool(211)with sea side view. The resort is a new one, just two years of operation, but my opinion is that it's more than a 4 star sup. than a 5 star lux.My room is a goodsized, spacious, with flat tv,mini refrigerator, safe deposit and air condition. There is no internet connection, just only wifi in the lobby and the main bar of the main building. The resort has four pools, maybe there is one inside in the spa,the two of them are for Kids. All time there are too clean. The most beautiful was the beachfront one because you can see the Turkey towards.I prefer the main pool, because is closer to my room,it was not so crowded and some times I feel that was my...personal pool beacause noone is swimming than prefer to making sunbath.I feel the need to emphasize the large number of sunbeds around the pools areas. The variety of breakfast was good enough.I don't know about the dinner because I prefer to eat in the local taverns of the island. The resort is close to the city of Kos as I told before. You can rent a car, bike, bicycle or you can use the local bus(number 4 messaria)There is a bus station just outside the resort and the shuttle bus runs every hour. The ticket cost 1,50(1,60 if you pay inside the bus).

Room Tip: All rooms had side sea view. The higher floors are better.

“what a treat”

The hotel was all that we were looking for, so much so that we did not feel that we needed to leave it.We had a loveley room above the resturant area with a fabulous view down to the beach and over to Turkey. The choice of food was good and veried, staff very attentive, very clean throughout,The entertainment team worked hard Suosuo and Lucy were great.Dave on the Thursday night singer /guitarist was very good but cut off short.Other nights included Greek dancing and general dancing by the hotel organist /singer if that is what it was he was terrible and let the hotel down badly.
During our stay It was our son and daughter-in-laws anniversery and the hotel put on a special treat for them. How they knew I dont know but thanks.
The waiting staff on the terrace bar where great,as to where the beach bar staff only had to see you coming after the first day and they knew what your drink was.
The Greek meal night we had at the grill was excelent Stavros made us feel very welcome.
We have stayed at other Ibostar hotels by far this has been the most friendly and we wished we had booked for 2 weeks As Arny says We will be back

“Food NOT 5 Star”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2011

Although the overall holiday was very nice, I have to state we felt the Food was not 5 star especially in the a la carte grill where the food we had served to us was cold, In the Main Restaurant Breakfast was OK with plenty to choose from but once you returned with your food at the table it was cold, Lunch was a similar story, Dinner I was the most dissapointed in, the standard of food I expect in a 5 star hotel was not available, one night they had Fish Fingers !!!!. Even for childern this is NOT 5 star. The room was very nice, the complex very nice but now and again you do get a very foul sewage smell wafting around the main pool. The extra charge for cocktails if you were all inclusive of 3 euros in my opinion was a rip off. we paid nearly £2,000 for my wife and I to stay all inclusive and in our opinion was not worth the money, this is the first Iberostar hotel we have stayed in and is not a pacth on RIU, probably the worst all inclusive food we have experienced and finally as for the review that states they had a roudy English familiy around the pool he should have been there the two weeks we stayed as we had the most noisiest families and not ONE were English

Room Tip: If you can afford it choose a room with your own pool alongside

“Fantastic - fantastic-fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

Having spent the previous two years at the Iberostar Kipriotis Panorama and Suites in Psalidi, we decided to holiday at the Odysseus following a visit here in 2009.

Where do I start. The sea front junior suite beside the pool and with views over the water was fantastic, with the mini bar topped up every day with water, beer and soft drinks. Flori, our cleaning lady was charming and took good care of our facilities.

Food was superb in all locations. The main restaurant had such a wide variety of choice it was difficult to know where to start. This was the case for all meal times, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff were very attentive without being a nuisance, and Erico, Sorti, Vasilis, Katerina and Poppi were wonderful to know.

The head chef, Petros was very visible in the restaurant at all times, as were the hotel manger and assistant manager. This obviously ensured that quality was excellent, and that there was a person with authority to speak with if you had any special food requests, or had any other issues.

There were never any issues with sun beds in the mornings, there were still plenty available at 10.00 so no mad rush for that "special" position. I do agree with other comments regarding the beach, in that it is not very big, and parts of it are black sand. This did not in any way reduce our enjoyment of the area. I would suggest water shoes for the sea as there are some stones upon entering the water. However this is not the fault of the hotel.

Entertainment during the day around the pool area can be lively, with the entertainment team playing music and encouraging people to take part in the various activities. There is no pressure to do so and it can be very amusing to watch other guests enjoying themselves.

The team running the pool bar were friendly and efficient, as were the staff in the beach restaurant. I would say that, as with all people, if you make the effort with them, then they will make more effort for you.

The main bar in the evenings had a variety of entertainment, from disco type music to dancing shows and live singers. This, in my opinion was sufficient. As elsewhere, the bar staff, Atkis, Anna and Achillies to name just three, were very attentive and friendly.

As a family of four we were very sad to leave after two weeks and we would like to express our sincere thanks to the hotel manager and all of his staff for making this a holiday to remember.

As they say "we'll be back"

Thank you from Andrew - Sarah - Evie and Tilly

Room Tip: seafront junior suite in my view, although furthest from restaurant
