We stayed in Can Guillem for six nights in August. The hotel has ten rooms and was full throughout our stay but it never felt busy and definitely never noisy. As you would expect with a hotel this size, there is no dedicated bar or restaurant but very friendly and helpful staff are around all the time (including overnight) who will serve you drinks and snacks wherever you prefer. There are tables set up here and there, along with large comfortable sofas for lounging about in. When we were choosing which Agroturismo hotel to stay in, reviews for others said you could feel a bit abandoned during the day as it was almost "too quiet" but this was not the case at Can Guillem. The pool was perfect for a quick dip and is set beside a lawn and garden.
Another reason for this choice was the distance to nearby towns. We rented a car but some nights wanted to drink so a reasonable taxi fare was essential; it will cost 15-20 Euro each way to get to Ibiza town. However you really do need to have a car here as it is about a kilometre from the main road, and shops, bars etc are further away. Although the island is small, the drive from north tip to south is a fair trek with the windy roads in the North; if you are planning on spending most of your time in Ibiza town itself then this is a good choice location-wise.
The building is of traditional Ibiza style and design, so the rooms have small windows and thick walls. This meant that ours was quite dark, and probably could have been lit a little better. The furniture is all quality - traditional and homely rather than luxury - and there is a safe, minibar (not ridiculously overpriced) and TV with a few English-speaking news channels.
These small, private hotels are all at the more expensive end of the scale on what is already a very pricey island. I would struggle to think of anything in Ibiza that achieves maximum points for value! But without the noise and 'entertainment' of a big complex, you feel less pressure to get away during the day and spend money. Perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet.
