“4 star hotel with nice pool area, but lacking in every other aspect!”

Entrance: The entrance was shabby, no ramp to put my heavy suitcase and I did not see a lift. After walking up two flights of stairs I arrived to the lobby. It was recently painted, but the overall impression was still that it was dated and NOT what I except from a hotel lobby of a 4 star hotel.
Rooms: It appears they have done a quick fix on painting and decoration. Although it does not look too bad, the overall impression is still shabby, in need of updating and mondernisation. Does not match up to any 4 star hotel room I have ever stayed in.
Sounds: It is terrible to wake up several times a night from noises in the hallway (just the sounds of shoes walking) and from other rooms. I actually woke up by the noise of people having sex in the room above me! Terrible, terrible. Did not get much sleep. The rooms seemed to have cardboard walls.
Restaurant: Only had breakfast, and although the décor was OK, the level of services was abysmal. The waiters did not even care to give me knife and fork, so I had to go looking for it at the waiter station… Food: not a lot to choose from, very basic.
Location: good location by the harbor.
Would never considering staying here again.

“great location, helpful staff, close to beach, 10 min ferry ride into town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

cannot understand other negative reviews...booked superior double room for 3 nights -- very spacious with great views over ibiza harbour and town. Lounged by the pool listening to very chilled music and in the Spa which was free. Ferry boat just out side takes you over to ibiza town for 3 euros return. Not cheap to stay but perfect for a special occasion. Reception Staff were helpful and friendly on every occasion i went to reception. towels changed every day & room cleaned.Talamanca Beach 5 mins walk away..

“Two star hotel pretending to be four star”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011

Booked into this hotel for three nights only stayed two .Pokey, cheaply furnished, box sized bedroom and a grim, dark bathroom. No atmosphere at pool or in the bar.Poor breakfast with a coffee machine and no service.Noisy due to tiled floors so zero chance of a lie in.Unbelievably this hotel was more expensive than the Gran which was in a completely different league.

Room Tip: There does not appear to be a "good room"in this hotel

“Great location and nice hotel but staff were awful, useless and rude”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2011

Stayed 3 nights in August 2011, Room was nice, bit basic for a 4 star. Sheets were not clean, they had a great big stain on the under-sheet which was in full view when we walked in. Staff changed it immediately but not really a good start especially when we had checked in around midnight. Pool is gorgeous, they do have a dj who was rubbish. Probably older than my Grandad and the music was rubbish. Not a Neil Diamond fan. Drinks were pricey but there is a spar just down the road. There was no do not disturb sign in the room so had to request this. Reception staff were by far the worst. After checking out we had left our bags in the luggage room until late evening, when came to request our luggage were left standing around while they chatted to themselves. After asking again a very rude woman said we will get your luggage when you return the dressing gowns you have taken. Bloody cheek of her, we had not taken any dressing gowns and we had our suitcases searched to prove this!!! The poor lad who searched them was apologetic but the manager laughed in our faces when we complained about this treatment. She even said it must be you or the cleaners. If the cleaners are stealing hotel property what else are they taking? Got absolutely no where with the manager who even after searching our bags did not apologize once. Due to this I would never stay there again and would not recommend the hotel at all, Better 5 star hotels in playa den bossa

“A very overpriced very average hotel!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

I have just arrived back from a 4 day stay in Ibiza staying at the el corso hotel. What do I say well as a seasoned traveller who loves a luxury hotel I was looking forward to this hotel I had seen some negative comments about the hotel but thought I would try.

The good points, a lovely pool, lots of comfy sun beds dj playing music all day and one bar man( guy with shave head) was very friendly. Unfortunately that's all the good things I can say!

Myself and my friend had a standard room 206 it was awful the toilet was coming away from the wall the shower leaked all over the floor. On arrival to the room I removed my shoes to unpack and when I sat down after 10mins noticed the soles of my feet were black from the bedroom floor. Never once in 3 days was our room cleaned. Although we did receive new towels on our second day.
Hotel is a good 30m walk from Ibiza town, if it's clubbing you want the nearest place is playa del bossa where space and others re and it's approx (18 euro each way) San Antonio where hed kandi, es paradise and others are is 30 euro each way in a taxi.

On the day we were leaving reception called twice to remind us to get out of our room! We had to be out by 11am we were not flying till 2 am and were not offered a room to shower in eve we were told to go in the spa area and shower there. Only way we could have had a room was to pay 150 euro to have a room till 6pm!

Shocking service rude staff and luxury well hotel is no way luxury. It is a hotel with small bedooms and hotel has indeed been modernised in a very ratty cheap fashion. Would I go again no way. Ibiza gran hotel down the road next time

Room Tip: Do not book standard room and beware deluxe rooms no better
