“Nice place for relaxing and sleep well)”

+Very good, clean and nice designed house! Great location to see look around sites!
Ideal territory around the house.Breakfast is simple but everything is fresh and good quality.
Fresh air and very cozy room. Thats what we need! Probably better to live on the second floor(more privacy).
- not enough signal for wifi in the room.

BTW in 8-10 km very nice restaurant "Petite Cour".

“wonderful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 May 2011

Arrived a touch earlier to be welcomed by a very friendly English speaking host.
The property has plenty of charm with it's lovely garden and very homely breakfast room. Our room was spacious and clean. Very good location for exploring this part of the country. Giverny only a cycle trip away.

“Not really a success”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2010

Plus points:
This is a charming house in a charming village, with beautiful grounds.
Minuses:
Stayed in a ground floor room in the coach house. There was more than enough noise from the room above. They b&b didn't appear to be busy and it may have been better to put us elsewhere as we didn't to sleep until the early hours. The patron wasn't particulary friendly or helpful. I judge a good night's sleep as the most important factor in a stay. When we asked by email if wecould eat there, the answer was terribly sorry but no. It would have been better if he had suggested another restaurant. I am afraid we had to resort to a husk of bread and cheese, and seemed to get disapproving looks from the proprietor whilst eating outside in the late evening.

It just wasn't worth the detour whilst travelling from Paris to Calais.

“A place to stay in heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2010

We chose this hotel because of the good reviews and its location near to Gisors where our friends live.
It certainly lived up to the reviews. Stephane greeted us as we arrived in the front garden. He spoke excellent English which was a relief. He has a wonderful sense of humour and made us feel like one of the family straight away. Our room was in the roof with a big king size bed and view over the back gardens. We had a huge bathroom with two sinks, big rolled top bath in the middle of the room. It was very quiet, apart from the church clock and bells. The continental breakfast was good. It was in a separate old building made into a library with classical music playing in the background. We all sat at a big table, room enough for 8. One point to make is trying to find the place - DO NOT USE THE POSTCODE IN YOUR GPS.....we did and ended up in a village 9 miles away. Luckily there wasn't a number 2 rue des Tilleuls. Stephane told us to always put in the TOWN and then the STREET name then number.
We only stayed for 2 nights, on our way to Bayeux, but we want to return here again, very soon!

“Perfection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2010

My wife and I stayed here on our first night in France on our way to Correze.
The welcome from Stephane was instant, warm and attentive. His English was excellent and we didn't feel pushed into using our limited French. The accommodation was lovely with many personal touches and every comfort. The evening meal, although we had no choice of menu or wine, was wonderful, produced by Stephane himself. The ficelle as entree was the best ever of many we have eaten in France. The breakfast, included in the price, was delicious with local bread and croissants. To eat breakfast to Mozart's Requiem Mass was a bit bizarre but he is my favourite composer so another plus! Can't wait to visit again. Barry & Jane Jones, Derbyshire
