The Hotel Garni Riviera is small hotel at the water front in the center of Gargnano. Clean and nice rooms, fanatsic view on the lake. The public beach of Gargnano is just a few minutes walk away from the hotel. Shops, restaurants, bars nearby. Great hosts providing useful information. Parking is available at small extra costs (special rate of the hotel) in the public parking nearby.

We have been to lake Garda several times and discovered this lovely hotel our last trip. Unspoiled Gargnano is the pearl of the lake and there are several good hotels but this has fantastic views and is right downtown in a quiet tranquil pedestrian zone. Ask for a lakeside room.

"Browsing on the Net, we stumbled across this Perfect Location: Hotel Garni Riviera in Gargnano proved to be an IDEAL CHOICE! It's situated in a small village, right on the edge of the Lake. A setting for an opera (Mascagni?) The hotel was exactly what we were looking for: from our room we had a panoramic view of the Lake; peace (almost no traffic on the beautiful cobblestones); and everything within 100 yards: bank, chemist, grocer (for wine and salami), 6 restaurants under the orange trees, and the ferry - which takes you almost anywhere you would need to go around the Lake. We were there in mid-May 2007: brilliant days of sun from our balcony, and a wonderful couple (the owners, Gianfranco & his wife Elisa) who attended to all our needs and gave us lots of local information. They both speak excellent English, Italian, Spanish and German. We'll certainly be revisiting them again next year."

This is a 2 star hotel but I think the ratings are different in Italy because this Hotel would be a 3 or 4 star in England.

This is a well run hotel with excellent service. Due to a Bus strike we arrived really late at the Hotel and like all the hotels, there were closed. However, they provided a key-coded security box where we could obtain the keys so we were not locked out (which we were just not in the mood for a that time!)

However, for some reason two keys for 2 different rooms were provided for us. The next morning we explained to the owner that we only wanted 1 room and he was very polite and told us not to worry about it.

The owner is called Yanis (most probably spelt wrong!) who really polite and helpful and also seems to speak excellent German, English and Spanish.

Excellent large en suite, which I believe may have been renovated recently. I liked the touch of having a stool in there, so you can throw your clothes on there. Small touch but makes a difference.

There's a wi-fi spot and Internet for use. (5 euros per hour)
Double Room - 55 euros per day.

Unique Qualities: Breakfast is included and you do not want to miss it. Not because it is included in the price but because you can have a full view of the lake whilst you eat, which really just makes you want to relax and eat more!! It is nice and it also not situated too close so that you may get a cold breeze.
