When we opened the door to our room on arrival it was the last time the lock was operable as it was jammed and the staff was not able to repair it and remained locked during our visit. Lucky for us there was a rear door that we were able to use to enter and exit our room.
The room had a little more furniture than a jail cell, no temperature control and it was the same as staying in a sauna and the room had flies flying around which I was able to rid most of them.
The so called unprofessional management and the staff appeared to all be under 30 years old and showed no guest interaction with an outward attitude that they did not care whether we stayed at La Comarca or not.
As it was Christmas Eve we had no choice except to dine at the Hotel and were charged the equivalent of $USD 50.00 per person for a meal that was less than adequate for value received.
Breakfast which was included was no better.
Upon check out there was no mention or apologies by the morning manager of the problem of the locked room door and no effort to show a gesture of good will to adjust the hotel bill.
The Hotel is well located but it is evident that the property is run by absentee owners who should be embarrassed that they think this Hotel can robotically run itself with untrained staff.
I recommend that this is one property to avoid in the area and there are other better choices of hotels there.
