My wife and I stayed here en-route from London to Devon last week. The room we had has been referred to by other reviewers on TA as "small". For one night, it is fine, although at 6 foot, 2 inches, I could not walk upright in certain parts of the room!
The bathroom was great - a massive room with a roll top bath situated in the middle of the room. The only downside (for the people downstairs) was the fact that the old, wooden floors were so creaky!
We had dinner on the Saturday and the food was innovative and well cooked. I would say slightly pricey - I am from London and it makes me laugh on my travels round the country when people say London restaurant prices are sky high. I have certainly seen London prices in small villages outside of London and wonder if these are warranted.
Overall, worth a night's stay.
