Agriturismo Vaddidulimu was recommended to us when my husband was chatting to a local on one of the windsurfing beaches in Porto Pollo.

We decided to drive the very scenic 20 minutes into the beautiful hinterland of northern Sardinia's Gallura region to see if a room at the farm was available. Even without a reservation we were instantly made to feel so welcome by the wonderful staff and knew that this was the perfect place to stay.

Our room was typically Mediterranean - clean, comfortable and airy with a porch overlooking the stunning green, hilly, countryside which was spotted with cork trees.

The staff were delighted to share their knowledge of the area and gave us a significant amount of their time recommending the best places to see in the north of the island and helping us put together an itinerary for the rest of our stay.

You can stay on a B&B basis or a dinner B&B basis. As a keen cook and gardener, it was a pleasure to see breakfast and dinner being prepared with the produce of the farm and local area including wild herbs. The Agriturismo also make their own lovely wine which is served with dinner and what a delicious feast of local specialities dinner is - not to be missed. The breakfast was one of the most substantial we received whilst in Sardinia as it seems most B&B's serve the more Italian style coffee and biscuit. This was an advantage for those taking part in activities during the day.

Another enjoyable element of our stay was that guests dine together, so you get the opportunity to mix which was sociable and fun.

Fortunately we arrived off season, otherwise I would recommend booking because this is a popular Agriturismo with both tourists keen to enjoy cycling, motorbiking, hiking and simply just travelling around this most beautiful of islands and locals who came for the sumptuous dinner and the company of the fabulous staff.

In the early springtime 08 we`ve bin on our first trip to sardinia, so we arrived at Agriturismo Vaddidulimu.
Our room was very clean and comfortable. From the terrace you can sit and admire the view to the hills around the farm.
The breakfast is served in the restaurant next to the apparment-house. Breakfast was great with international standard with homemade breads, ham, eggs, jellies, honey and juices.
A good lunch-menu with dishes to die for, Vaddidulimu is for shure not a place to go if you are on a diet - you just can't stop yourself eating.The restaurant was ottimo!!

From Vaddidulimu it is a short drive to Luogosanto (neat town to explore) and to the most beautyful beaches around. A nice change of pace from the hectic, lots of tourists, experience of the coasts of costa smeralda.
