“Poor booking liaison”

We booked 2 rooms, one for a disabled person with a specific request for a wheel-in, walk-in shower to enable the disabled (paralysed all one side) member of our family party to be able to use the toilet and shower with assistance.
When we arrived and unloaded after a long tiring drive, we were advised that the room did not have this facility and was thus made our stay impossible.
We were directed to the cheaper stop-over sister hotel Etap at the airport. This had the perfect disabled facility but was typically austere with no restaurant or bar, which had been anticipated after a long day travelling.

However, following your comments and your handicap, my staff has tried to find a quick solution to a different hotel. It is cheaper but more responsive to your wishes.

“Poor service!”

Small hotell with nice surroundings. VERY good breakfast, and even though we ate an early breakfast it was really good!

The staff in this hotell really need an education how to be service-minded. Very snotty staff thats why I can't recommend this hotell even if the hotell overall had good potential!

Quite near to the Charleroi airport, approx. 8min with Taxi.

Thank you for taking the time to bring your comments regarding your last stay at the Hotel Ibis Charleroi Airport.
I was sorry to hear about the bad quality you had to face wit the bathroom
towels and I apologize about the inconvenience you may have experienced.
Your constructive feedback has been already discussed with the management
and the suppliers regarding the poor quality of the towels and the necessary
steps have been already taken in order to avoid similar problems in the
nearly future.

“Good port in a storm”

Pitched up here on the fly during a long ride from Calais to Switzerland. I was intending to stay somewhere, just did not know it would be here. An impending downpour with light show made the decision for me. Fortunately they had a room spare.
Situated Nr an Airport I understand this place is a frequent stop off for folks with early flights so whatever you do don't sleep with your window open unless you like being woken up by taxi doors banging at all hours.
Whilst the room was spotless and the breakfast fare some of the best I have experienced in an Ibis I do have a few grumbles in addition to the noise issue.
The staff are a bit standoffish. Ok this is Belgium so enough said on that one. Then the restaurant was closed on Saturday evening with the only choice locally an upmarket Italian just down the road.
Location could be an issue for some. I would imagine its a hard place to reach without wheels of your own.
Apart from that, its all good.
