We stayed for 7 days at the lower October rates and had a wonderful holiday.
The hotel is, of course, in the prime location in Palamos with views from the bedrooms to the bay and working port. Good sized bedroom and bathroom and very original furnishings throughout - two comfortable easy chairs in the bedroom were a bonus when so many rooms have only one.
The dining room and associated beach lounge and diner were both very good with a range of menu options including a daily three-course budget menu. House wine very well chosen and very cheap - well done!
In fact the only criticism of the hotel was the hard very beds and pillows which we couldn't get used to and therefore slept very poorly. My wife suffers hip pain and this really was a problem. We went out to buy some softer pillows and the maid fitted clean cotton pillow cases without being asked, a nice touch, but we still slept poorly because of the firmness of the bed.
We loved the hotel and would return next year without any doubt if only we got on with the beds. As it is this may well be our first and only visit.
