“A little gem of a b&b”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

Stayed just two nights in this fantastic establishment and wished it could have been two weeks! Perfectly sited for the A5 yet really peaceful and rural, the rooms were super, one of the biggest and most comfortable beds we've slept in and Sara's breakfast really set us up for the day! Well deserving of the Gold award just received! We cannot recommend too highly.

“Excellent experience all round”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

Stayed at Tan-yr-Onnen for one night only but are hoping to stay again. Patrick and Sara are perfect hosts. Beautiful house and surroundings. Definitely five star accomodation - superb. We also enjoyed a late evening meal at the nearby Farmers Arms pub - thoroughly recommended for a very tasty meal. After a very comfortable nights sleep we had breakfast. Choice of homemade muesli, homemade fruit salad, cereals, toast, breads etc, together with a cooked Welsh breakfast - fantastic!

“I want to go back now”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

We struggled to find this place on our way back to West Wales from Manchester Airport, but on being guided in by mobile, we were truly delighted.

This is really 5-star accommodation. So very clean and well appointed. Patrick and Sara told us, before we left, that they have slept in every room, which is what I always say should be done. The attention to detail is great and all makes for a pleasant stay. Probably our only grouse was in the bathroom, as we do not like fixed head showers and there was no grab rail. But we could have had the latter if we had asked, and there is a non-fixed shower in the wet room attached to Daisy.

Oh, and the other grouse was (only joking really) that one daughter was celebrating her 18th birthday and we could not eat there. Just listening to Sara discussing the evening's menu with other guests after breakfast made our mouth's water. She obviously puts a lot of thought into it. The breakfast was excellent, too. They are such a friendly couple we chatted to them for far too long and delayed their own breakfast.

We cannot wait to find an excuse to go back to the area. It is so beautiful and there seems to be lots to do. And with the A55 dual carriageway not far some places are very acccessible indeed.

Room Tip: Our room, Snowdrop was great and there are 3 other similar rooms. Two suites are on the top floor a...

“If all B&B's were like this”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

We could hardly believe it when we went on the web site, prior to staying here, to see the excellent results. But they are true, how simple it is to get it right, and how many B&B's don't. The room was good, the bathroom excellent, with all that you may require. Along with the hair dryer there was also a mini ironing board. Breakfaast were amazing, and the hosts fantastic. What was a real pleasure was to see how the family, all worked together as an accomlished and experienced team. We will stay here again. Well done and thank you.

“You have to experience this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011 via mobile

Having just (reluctantly) returned home after 3 nights in this wonderful place, I am already thinking when can we book to go back. Everything is fabulous about Tan Yr Onnen and the welcome you are given by Sara and Patrick makes you feel like old friends. Spotlessly clean with really lovely finishing touches and delicious food, we'll be back again and again.
