“Good experience”

The hotel is 3 km more or less from the centre of Kos town.
The location is ok, on a hill with great view on the sea and the turkish shore, of course on the other side is not so good if you need to walk up there.
The Hotel is nice, with different blocks of 3 floors. The room we stayed was actually 2 rooms, one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds and a kitchenette (even if we booked a double) at the first floor of one of the blocks over the reception, it was comfortable, with nice balcony, a good bathroom, the furniture was ok, not very new but of good quality (the hotel was actually a 5 stars that is now a 4 stars, i imagine because of lacks of renovations).
The service is good, very helpful, always smiling.
The all inclusive package is well worth, the food is good and you always have good choice, and the drinks are available all day long, from 8 to 24 in the 2 bars, beer wine and cocktails included.
The price we paid was really a very good one, we booked trough www.clever-hotels.com and get a very good price.
The pools of the hotels are good, we did not use them very much (actually the main one with water slides we never used) as we prefer to go to the nice beaches of Kos during the day, but after coming back from the trips, a nice dive in the second pool, the quiter one, was very good to relax.
On the other side the beach of the hotel is very poor, really not worth to stay there. If you book this hotel is a must to rent a motorbike or a car to go to the nicest beaches of Kos and to the mountain as there is not much around the hotel and would be a shame not to visit the rest of the island that is really beatiful.
My suggestions: absoulutely to visit: the area of the beaches near Kefalos ( Camel, Lagada, Paradise, Ag. Stefanos...), my favourite: Camel beach; the villages of Lagoudi, Asomatos and Zia in the mountains, nice is also the drive to the thermal area of Ag. Fokas. Probably there is more to see, but in 1 week is not so easy to be everywhere!
In general a very good experience, if i would have holiday in Kos again i would probably prefer to book something in Kardamena that is more or less in the center of the island and everything is quicker to reach, but for sure i would not be disappinted to come back to Psalidi as well!

“Great value for money!”

This was our first all inclusive holiday and we were both very impressed. Carefree holidaying with no need to think about the food and drink bills (be prepared to diet when you get back though). We booked 1 week from 17th Sept with Thomas Cook and thought it was good value at £866 for two of us. Our room was huge with a view of the pool and out to sea over to Turkey. I'm fussy about quality, hygene etc and I have to say the food was fantastic, there was an amazing amout of choice what ever your taste, be it plain or adventurous. We also ate at the 5 star sister hotel. This made a nice change and it was nice to have the waiter service. Ok, I agree with a previous comment in that it may not have been large portions but come on... there were 4 courses + wine and we came away feeling stuffed!!! Not much in the way of entertainment but we went to relax so that suited us. Kos town is just a short bus ride away though and that was quite livley. The hotel is high up a hill but never proved to be a problem. It was possible to cut through the hotel in front of us and I will say that the the mini bus was very regular and free too if you really didn't want to walk at all. Like anywhere, some of the staff were really friendly and helpful and some not so. Overall we had a lovely week.

Room Tip: When you book the meal at the sister hotel choose an early slot, you'll get served much quicker.

We were very disappointed with this hotel, as a frequent traveller on business, spending on average 2 or 3 weeks every month in hotels around the world, I cannot see how this hotel can claim to have 5*, I have stayed in far superior 3* hotels in so called developing countries.

There were no tea making facilities or internet in the rooms. the corridors were carpeted very cheaply, and the area around the lifts was floored with cheap, poorly laid laminates.

The reception looked impressive, but there was no-one to greet you at the door or take your luggage as you arrived, and take you to your room.

The food was fresh and good quality, but the waiting staff were not courteous and friendly.

We were on half board and found that a number of facilities were not available to us unless we paid extra, including sun-beds on the beach, I normally occupy hotels on a bed and breakfast basis, and have never before known discrimination, between all inclusive and other guests.

We arrived at the hotel at 0500 in the morning, having paid for 7 nights half board, and we were due to fly home at 0400 the following Sunday, but we had to check out at 1200 on the Saturday, which meant that we had to go and find meals all day Saturday, and potentially we had 16hours in limbo, without any support from the hotel. A 5* hotel would have flexible check in and check out times, and we would not have had to pay for meals which we could not take.

“Relaxing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

we returned yesterday from the Iberostar Panorama Family Hotel. Having checked in we were driven by mini bus to our apartment which we were less than impressed with as it was right at the top of the hill and we had two basement rooms which did not afford the unobstructed views across to Turkey that others had. We asked at reception if we could change rooms as did our friends who we were travelling with. The receptionist was very helpful and polite but could only offer us a change to the block next door which we saw no point in. Having said all of that once we had accepted that's where we were staying we just got on with the walk up and down the hill which I can assure you is not suitable for anyone who has trouble walking. The Food provided is good there is always plenty, its fresh , hot and there was always something you find to suit your taste, there is certainly no need to go hungry here. However you will get offered the opportunity to go to the al a carte restaurant in the Iberostar Kipriosi which is next door, my advice is DONT the head waiter is extremely rude the service is terrible and the food when you finally get it is such small portions that you leave felling starving. It took two hours for them to serve us a small four course meal and we were the patient ones a lot of others walked out before they had their food as they were fed up waiting. Stick to the food at the Panorama Family its better and the staff are much more professional and friendly. There is a dress code that the hotel requests you stick to and that is that at dinner men wear long trousers and no sleeveless shirts but to be honest most men did wear shorts, this may be different in high season so I would take trousers in case. The pools are great there is one with slides and music and another which is quiet for relaxing around, there were always loads of sun beds and no one ever needed to stick towels out to reserve a bed. All in All we had a great holiday and this hotel is for the price a very good base to stay, it is a short bus or taxi ride into Kos Town which is well worth a view here you can get your day trips for island hopping or a trip to Bodrum in Turkey by doing this ourselves we saved about 50 Euros for the four of us as opposed to what the tour companies were charging.

Room Tip: You need to get a room near to reception otherwise take your mountain boots with you
