“Not a 4 star hotel, 3 stars at most”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2010

We just came back from Kos, though our trip was fantastic and we would recomend Kos to everybody the hotel did not meet out expectations.

First, the "beach" is to far away (they say 200 meters, but it's more like 500 meters) is not a white beach as in the photos, but a pebble beach, they just put white sand on a part of it. The drink service they claim is soda by the class, served from a cooler.

We had expected an a-la-carte resturant, but it had closed, no explenations.

The food was ok, but the same most of the days.

Some of the reseption personell were rude, and we had to listen to the manager shout at a co-worker when we waited to be served.

The night time entertainment (and most of the day time to) is all in Italian.

And at last there is no room service, no minibar (only an empty fridge), no complimentary cosmetic products nor shampoo.

On the up side the rooms are quite large and comfy and were cleaned every day. The swimmingpool and the bar are nice and the staff at the bar are very nice.

Hotel is far from the beach and there are no interesting activities for adult people.

We have just come back from falaraki and stayed in the Sun palace! FANTASTIC! faultless hotel and we are definatley planning a return trip there! We were 10 adult and 5 children whose ages were 11 month old, two 2year olds and two 4 year olds. The food was fantastic, the rooms large, cleaned everyday, all the staff at sun palace were friendly helpfull. the best thing of all was the animation team who really were brilliant, daytime activities throughout the day, they were so friendly and lively, made us feel so welcome especially sean from essex he was fab. it was my little boys 2nd birthday while we were there, they had him up on stage, sung to him ad give him a medal so he was thrilled. the entertainment in the night was also brill, everything from comedy night to man breathing fire to tribute bands, and every winner from daytime activites had a medal. they were fab, also a childrens mini disco every night and kids club in the day. i really cant fault it and would give it 10/10 in all aspects. Gutted to be back in cold wales.

“Not For The English”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2008

My family and I have just returned from a weeks stay at Sun Palace after our booking at Aegean View Hotel, Paradisi, Kos with XL holidays was changed on arrival. Despite staff being very friendly at Sun Palace (where possible), I would definately not recommend this hotel to English as staff indicated to us that English do not normally stay there as it is predominantly Italian, German and Dutch. There was difficulty in some staff understanding what we were asking. The entertainment was almost the same every evening and food was only luke warm.
We were the only English people there!
