“7 days of lovely hot weather and a relaxing holiday”

My husband, my 16 year old son and myself have been going to Kos for the past 4 summers and each time we never get fed up with going. Although it means a very early start we think its all part of the holiday and well worth it. Once the plane lands in Kos and you feel the lovely warmth and the lovely blue skies we cant wait to get our holiday started. On arriving at the hotel we always look forward to seeing Irene, she is always so friendly and cannot do enough for you. Our room is always very clean and tidy, there is always so much to choose from when eating in the restaurant, and most tastes are catered for as the hotel has alot of nationalities staying there. The hotel entertainment is very enjoyable, we really enjoy the greek night and the bbq around the swimming pool. We have already booked our 5th holiday to Kos for August 2012 and we cant wait. We highly recommend this hotel and holiday destiniation.

“10 min walk to the center but definitely less than 4 stars!”

My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel for the weekend at the mid-end of October 2011, which is the very end of the season in KOS (or any other Greek Islands). The employees of the hotel are very warm, generous and helpful (as all the other locals). The down-side is that the rooms quality is low - definitely less than 4 stars! The 10 inch TV is ridiculous and the mattress caused me backaches. The reason we chose this hotel is because it's close to the center. Looking backwards, we rented scooters for the whole period (20 Euro a day) so the distance wasn't an issue + other fellow tourists told us that the bus transportation is very decent. So my conclusion - if you gonna rent some kind of transportation go for better hotel (e.g. Michelangelo Hotel and Spa).

Room Tip: If you are a couple, make sure the hotel is notified to give you double bed. Otherwise, you'll g...

“Two Weeks of Bliss”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

We have just got back from 2 weeks at this fantastic hotel, although they were coming to the end of their season, what first struck us about this place was the general friendliness of the staff and the willingness to help us with anything we needed, no problem was too big or two small, and it was always sorted with a smile...although us ourselves didnt have any problems we observed this with other guests...the front desk staff (namely Sofia) was extremely happy to explain things to us on our late arrival at the hotel, making sure we got some food before we did anything else, as the kitchen staff we setting up to close...at all times the desk staff were extremely courteous and friendly, always willing to have a chat and let us know about the local area, although we were happy to explore ourselves...the bar staff are amazing, especially Dennis and Mike, who were ALWAYS pleasant and friendly, and most definitely up for a laugh....the bar is well stocked with local and international drinks and in our opinion not that expensive considering UK prices of alcohol in bars these days...the serving staff in the restaurant were lovely, especially the little blonde serving manager (sorry that we didnt get her name) who was willing to explain what certain foods were if we did not know, if you dont have anything to eat in the Restaurant you MUST try the desserts, they were a sight to be seen! always well stocked and YUM!! lol

The hotel its self was ALWAYS clean, with the rooms being cleaned daily, unless you put the 'Do Not Disturb' sign up, the other general areas of the hotel were also cleaned daily, the pool bar had a varied menu if you didnt feel like leaving the hotel to go find a Taverna, the food in the restaurant, although was quite samey most nights was plentiful and really nice to eat...there were things like chips and nuggets for children and of course ice cream and desserts...

We really only had two gripes about the hotel, and that was the doors to the rooms slammed when shutting and was echoey through out the hotel, so they do need updating, but after a few nights we got used to this, and also if you want to have the mini bar emptied they would charge 3 euros per day to keep it empty, although they did NOT charge you for putting your own stuff around what was already in there, other than that the balconies where lovely if you wanted an even drink...

The walk into town is really lovely and only takes about 20mins at a slow stroll along the harbour coast...but 5 mins by cab if you can not manage that which costs about 5-6 euros depending on who picks you up...

Room Tip: Ask for a garden/sea view facing room so that you wont get disturbed by coaches coming in at all ho...

“Our September 2011 Holiday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

Our holiday in September is just for my husband and myself. This hotel is very clean and linen and towels were changed regularly. The staff were very friendly and did a good job. Irene at reception is a legend and loves giving out information. The salad station was very good but the main courses on a lot of nights we thought was just ok.We always could find something to eat. The breakfasts were good but the plates were the size of tea plates for this meal. Guests with children had more difficulty as there was only one evening we saw child friendly food although there were chips every night and someone should really tell them how to make mashed potatoes, theirs had never seen a potato, it was SMASH and very watered down. Drinks were very expensive and their spirits were the local spirits but just round the corner was a taverna who served international spirits cheaper than the hotel. Wine for dinner was 19 euros a bottle and the small bottle giving 2 good size glasses was 7.50 euro very expensive. Would have preferred more going on round the hotel i.e. shops markets bars, but it was really out on a limb. There was a sign on the road inviting people to come in and use the pool and one day my husband was in the pool and talking to a chap from New Zealand who was staying in some apartments down the road who told him he had been on the beach and had come in to wash the sand off in the pool NICE. As there was so little to do apart from walking into Kos we hired a car and found Zia which is a lovely place to visit just don't go on the scenic route. For younger people hiring a bike was about 20 euros for the week and they had a wide pink cycling lane on the pavement and woe betide you if you strayed onto this but if you had children it was very safe for them as there was the cycling lane then the pedestrians and then the road. All in all this is a holiday for lazing on the beach just not the beach across from the hotel. Not enough to do for me but hey thanks to the staff for the work they do.

Room Tip: Rooms at the side are much quieter than the rooms facing the bar area

great hotel, great staff, great unlabeled food, really clean, nice pool area.
Awful beach, forget it, visit Paradise/ bubble beach for a fantastic beach, entertainment ok, but not much for teenagers, long walk at night on main road to get back from nightclubs.

Room Tip: rooms at side of hotel nice and quiet, avoid rooms near lifts
