This was our 5th vacation in this wonderful resort. We first discovered this jewel about 10 years ago and fell in love with this resort right away.
What can I say? This time we visited during the school spring break - April 6 to 14. The resort was full, but it never felt crowded. We neved experienced extra long waiting time by the bars, or in the restaurant lines. Actually, I think that during this busy time the resort personal was even more efficient than ever.
The food was very good for our taste. We like seafood and there was always plenty clams, shrimps, calamari, seafood paella almost every day, fresh fish. For those who prefer meat there were plenty of those options as well starting from the young pig to rabbits to ducks. Also I want to mention the great selection of the tropical fruits - mango, bananas, passion fruit, papaya, guava, pineapple, melon, watermelon - all very sweet, juicy and fresh.
All plates and silverware were clean, hot from the dishwasher, plastic glasses at the beach and pool bars were washed regularly. I suspect that there are always those people who are too sencitive to those things. We, for example, have a friend wo never eat food prepared in the stores, he never eats anything when visiting his friends - too affraid of germs. This is just an example.
Our room was the regular standard room - 2 double beds. Nothing special, but always very clean, cleaned on time, bathroom was sparkling every time we came back from the busy and relaxing day by the beach or pool.
The service people were all very hardworking, polite, quick to help. Everyone understood our English, even though we speak English with Russian accent.
But the main tresure of this resort - the main reason we love it so much - is the turquose, warm, calm, clean Caribbean Sea. The water is so beatiful I can just sit and look at it for hours admiring the color and the beauty. We love Mexica/Riviera Maya beaches also. The water there is also very beautiful, but in Mexico it's hard to find the beach without waves. Here, on 7 out of 9 our days the water was as calm as in the pool. So clear, so warm! I can talk about it for hours, so I'd better stop.
What also should be mentioned, this resort became very popular with Russian Americans. I would say that 90% of the visitors were Russian families from NY and NJ. Actually we were ready for that because all our friends, once visited this resort, keep returning year after year and keep taking other friends with them.
In the conclusion I want to say "Thank You!" to all the people who work at Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus and who always make our vacation there unforgettable.
