I don't know about the others, but we have spent a wonderfull time here. It was our dreamlike vacantion this summer. Lovely gardens, well kept mantained. Rooms cleaned every day, towels changed every day.
The beach is nice and the water warm and clean - you can see the sand under your feet clear and a beautiful landscape especialy at sunset.
Everithing looks to be under control of staff manager and they are allways lovely and smiling. Food was excellent especialy at dinner, with various specialties traditional also exotic. We were deeply satisfied.
A big "A" note for the Animation Team. Thanks to them we have felt like a big family there, playing voleyball, polo, stretching, gymnastics all day long, so making friends overall Europe. Like the kids too - they have spent a long time together playing games and dancing at the Mini disco. Many thanks for this summer Animation Team.
They are also organizing a special night every evening like: Greek night, Live music, Barbeque night, Olympic games etc. I participated and enjoyed it, especialy the Olympic games and the Barbeque night by the pool.
We recomend this place to everyone. We 've spent an excellent vacantion here.

We had a wonderful time during our 2-week holiday in July 2011. We stayed at the Portes Beach hotel with our 3 and 5 year old children, all inclusive type of stay. I can only say that we had a wonderful experience there, and can absolutely recommend for families with small children. The beach is nice, clean, sandy and pebbled. The bungalows are practically on the beach, so that is very convenient, too.
The food was versatile, however - you get a bit bored with the selection after 14 days. The entertainment is nothing special - but if you are there with the kids, you don't really need something extra. The kids have their mini disco every night (except on Thursdays, if I remember well) and they really enjoyed it. It was at the pool, one night it was on the beach. Once a week, or once in 10 days, the hotel organizes a Greek night, organized by the pool, with dinner and barbecue by the pool, too.
If your bungalow is very close to the pool, you might be annoyed by the music at night - but, it usually finishes by 11:00 pm Greek time, so it is not so annoying.
Looking back again, I can really recommend this place for a family. If you get by car, or have transportation (rent-a-car), there is a variety of options for nice excursions. For example, to Nea Moudanina, Nea Potidea, a picturesque town of Aphitos, or Thessaloniki.
The food and beverage manager of the hotel really keeps everything under control, and it seems that the restaurants are run pretty smooth.

Terrible hotel, it should have an inspection checking it.
The hygienic is low, the cleaning service has to be always reminded to clean the rooms, the beach is dirty, no one cleans it or collects the garbage, even thou the sun beds are to be paid 3 euro each. Check the photos, you'll see what i mean.
if you go with your children, like we did, be aware of the kitchen chef, since it is not allowed to feed them anywhere but in the restaurant, and during those 2 hours it is terribly crowned, noise and hot inside. You are not allowed to do anything, since the stuff and especially a very unpleasant and rude chef is following your every step. The food served is not according to the regulations since the food is always opened, touched by uncovered hands, there are various of possible infecter around it (insects, human contact...)
The garden is nice and huge, but full of mosquitoes...
