“Very good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2009

Hello,
I just returned from Hotel Palladium, Kriopigi.
I have very good words to say, so I will start with the plus-es:
- our room was clean; the personal entered and clean it each day; at about 3 days the towels were changed; there is no need for vacuum cleaner as others said as they have kind of sandstones / tiles on the floor and only a mop is enough;
- we have only breakfast and dinner included; breakfast was generous enough; dinner had: 7-8 salads, but I only tried 2 which were fresh; the dishes were specific greek and very good;
- the pool has very clear water and, what is most important, it was not overcrowded at all;
- our room had very good view to the sea; from its position, all the rooms have very ggod view to the sea; behind the hotel there is a beautiful forest;
- the hotel assures free transfer to kriopigi (on monday) and to kalithea (on wed, thu and fri);
- as we were going in a trip, the personal prepared us food packets and then waited for us in the evening to serve the dinner, even if the dinner is served until 21:00;
- very quiet atmosphere;

The minus-es:
- they said they have greek night on thursday; actually, the greek night is taking place at Pallini Beach Hotel, not Palladium;
- the hotel is located at about 600m from the sea; for us it wasn't a problem, but for comfortable people this may be a problem;
- there are no activities organized by the hotel personal; the only activity happens at the restaurant but is not notable; they should be more involved in this; there were people that said that the personal is not so closed to the client needs and I agree; anyhow, you can play here: ping-pong, big chess, tennis; you can ask to reception to rent bikes, cars, ATVs, etc;
- internet is not free;
- the water from the pool has chlorine, but this is also for the sanity purposes.

Other observations:
- they say you are not allowed to wear shorts and flip-flops at the meals but this is written everywhere, it seems to be an internal rule, and it should be treated as is; they also say that if something breaks in the room then the clients are not allowed to repair it and they have to report to the hotel reception; if a bulb gets break what should i do ? repair it ? i think that any hotel has internal rules that should be respected by the clients;
- when you pay about 200 euro / person / 7 days you cannot ask for "high class"; I think the hotel price is very good for its offer.

This place was outstanding! Excellent views, massive swimming pool, restaurant/bar/lounge and tons of things to do: basketball, tennis, table tennis, pool volleyball, etc, etc!! The food was delicious and the service was incredible- thank you Christos, Filip and Lali!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!

“I would not get there for the second time...”

What I liked:

- beautiful area around the hotel, pine forest, fresh air;
- excellent beach (at the Alexander the Great Hotel);

What I did't like:

- room was not as clean as expected, there were spider webs, hair on the floor, the furniture was dirty, no cleaning operations during our stay except taking the garbage every day;
- the food was not so tasty, and it was pretty the same every day (breakfast and dinner);
- they have romanian waiters at the restaurant, they seemed not very familiar with their jobs and not very friendly with the guests. I think they were on trial there or something... Anyway, disappointing...
- poor parking area, if you dont park within the hotel yard, you might find your car scratched or worse...
- far from the town of Kryopigi - if you don't have a car it's a nightmare to go there at night;
- far from the beach and you have to cross a very busy road, also.

  • Liked — The forest around the hotel.
  • Disliked — The room cleanliness.

“Surely not the place where you want to spend your holiday”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 July 2009

Well, what can I say... been there. And it was not nice, at all. But I will start with the pluses. The hotel looks pretty nice, the area is quiet and surrounded by a nice forest. That's all.
Now, the things that made us demand our travel agency to get us out of there and move us in another hotel:
- the stuff is not qualified; they have the same people at the pool area, at the restaurant, everywhere. Before dinner time, they disapear and they cook you "dinner" - kind of a dinner, but maybe for dogs. Surely not eatable by humans.
- also the stuff is not kind. They are not friendly, they are setting a lot of stupid rules like you are not allowed enter the "restaurant" and eat "dinner", that you also have already paid, if you are wearing shorts or flip-flops. And they don't tell it nicely, the waiter just blocks the entrance and yells at you. OK, you go to your room, you change your clothes and you get back to the "high class restaurant". The food is practically not eatable: the salads are not fresh, you have no choice there, everything looks poor.
- the food is not fresh and is not cooked properly
- the rooms are not clean. The vacum cleaner was not discovered in this hotel, there is only one cleaning lady and the result is an uncleaned, disgusting room.
- it is far away from the sea. When you get the tickets, they tell you that you have free transportation to the beach, but actually you don't and you have to walk like 30 minutes. Not very pleasant. :)

“Loved the hotel”

Great hotel , we loved it ! It is in fact a 3* hotel but very clean and cosy. The hotel staff is very friendly; food not to great but you can find something good to eat finally. The pool was great , never to full and very clean. The beach - absolutely gorgeous, with sun beds and umbrellas (with fee - 30 euros for 1 week).
The hotel is rather far away from the city (Kalithea - 3.5 km and Kriopigi - 1.5 km). If you come with your own car it's perfect!
Great place to eat is the self service nearby Pallini Beach Hotel.

  • Liked — the pool, the beach and the balcony view
  • Disliked — it is far away from the city
