“Peaceful and relaxed stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

We stayed here for 4 nights and came away feeling very relaxed and rested.

The village itself is small, but picturesque. The hotel is in the centre and was so quiet. We had a warm welcome, and were in fact upgraded to a suite.

The room was a very good size, with a large bedroom and sitting room, although the sloping ceilings did mean that you could not stand up in about half of the room. It was also a little unusual to have the bath with shower over at the bottom of the bed, but all worked really well and plenty of hot water.

The spa facilities were good. The hot tub was not working quite right - 104 degrees was a little hot and on our final day was broken, but the sundeck was great to sit and relax on and plunge pool refreshing.

we visited 2 restaurants nearby - La Louisia and Entre Vigne et Garrigue. The latter setting service and food were fantastic and would definitely recommend.

We would certainly stay here again

“Our third visit to the hotel for our wine tours of the Rhone”

A wonderfully peaceful hotel with a superb ambience, good facilities, individuallly decorated rooms of great comfort and taste. There is a very good buffet breakfast available and it is centrally placed for the wine tours of Lirac, Tavel and Chateaneuf. A small spa and pool are available with a sun terrece to relax. We took our daughter and her fiance to choose their wedding wine this time and they were enchanted.

“Cute location but not much to do”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2010

Stayed here one night based on website and reviews. It is near Avignon ( 20 minutes away) but actually is a very small village. There is basically only a cafe that closes at night and that is it. The hotel was charming with great service and they had a good breakfast that was quite pricey- be careful. Parking and access to hotel was very tight, it is defintiley off the beaten track. Probably would not stay there again.

“Overpriced and disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2009

The hotel is in a pretty, quiet village and is a great building. Some of the decor is fascinating and quirky, but as we had a very small room and bathroom, we found it all too fussy and cramped.
We looked for a safe in the room and found it in a dark corner of the cupboard, where there was a distinctly unpleasant smell. We could not work out the mechanism of the safe and neither could the owner! He also couldn't show us a map of the local area and when asked about local attractions, simply told us to go to the Saturday market at Uzes. When we looked for a blanket, because our duvet was far too heavy, he looked distinctly put out, but did go off and find one for us. We had read that there was free locked parking here but we didn't find it ...instead, there was very cramped parking outside the hotel.
However, the reason that we really felt unhappy at this hotel, was the cost of everything extra. We chose to eat dinner there, a 36 euro, no choice menu! The first part of the meal was cold, maybe cooked off site, and was tasty. But when the main course came (cooked in the little kitchenette on site) it was a slab of toughish pink lamb served with greasy mashed potatoes...we didn't enjoy it at all and noticed that some French visitors complained.
When the final bill came, we noted that I was charged 5euros for a fruit juice, since I couldn't partake in their free aperitif. At teatime, a coke and cup of tea, with unsolicited cake, cost 11 euros. All in all, they charge top prices for a three star hotel, .....but they are not three star.
We were so disappointed since we had chosen this place for a very special start to our honeymoon. We are not normally complainers and we went on to two other hotels, one cheaper, and one the same price, but both far nicer and more generous than this one.

I remerber this guest. I think the problem was that they never ask for any thing.
Closed car park : you just have to ask at the reception and we give you a plce.
Parking outside : all the street and the place is for the hotel so I think you've got place to park
Room : You book this category of room, if you want bigger why you never ask me when you arrive
Safe : you never ask me to help you
Dinner : unfortunetly for you, the over guest were happy with this menu
Price : all the price are printed on the card
Unsolicited cake : It's usual for u to give something to eat with coffe, drinks or aperitives. It's free
Aperitives: we never organise a free aperitif, may be the over guest were in a all inclusive package.

You never told us that you're in honeymoom. Il we know, we can organise special welcome.
