We arrived in Corfu with no hotel reservations. Everywhere we asked was 85 Euro and above, no brkfst. Went to a travel agency in the Liston Sq, hoping to find a mid range hotel. We needed 2 rooms, C-Class. The agent said there was nothing in the center in our price range and recommended the Dalia. Said it was neat, clean and within walking distance, about 15 minutes from the Kendro (center) of Corfu Town. 55 Euro w/o brkfst, 65 with. It seemed further. The rooms very simple, older furniture were a decent size, bathrooms, ok, shower pan was very small. We had a balcony that faced the street. View wasn't too bad. Linens and towels, clean, in good shape. Room was not as clean as we would have liked, dusty, but the next day, housekeeping did a better job cleaning. Air conditioning worked well. Great little family owned cafe next door with homemade cooking and next to that a Italian/Pizza Resturant Lots of local stores and cafes down the street. A little further down a GREAT bakery with wonderful Baklava and cakes, etc! Brkfast was simple, continental, but adequate. Even though room was not as clean as we would have liked and bathroom wasn't ideal, there was something about the place we liked. The people were so nice and helpful, you just wanted to go back. I think if things weren't to your liking they would make it right. The walk to the center of Corfu Town was very pleasant along the waterside and wasn't too bad. Good excerise after making a stop at the bakery. We celebrated our daughters birthday in Corfu and the night desk clerk went into the kitchen and supplied us with dishes, forks, napkins, a tablecloth, knife, etc. So we could have her birthday cake (bought at the wonderful bakery) on the balcony off our room. Like I said, they really tried hard to please us. I think we would return, especially if we rented a car.
